I'm going to kill my husband!! I was chatting happily away in chat tonight so I told DH to please go pick up Jana, our daughter, from work. She gets off at 9PM and needs a ride. He says OK and I hear him leave, car start, etc. A few minutes later I hear Kalina barking like crazy and I'm thinking to myself "It sounds like she's outside on the porch". I run to the living room and she is outside on the porch, which means DH left without even looking to see where the dogs were and she runs outside after him. NO MATTY!! Matty is nowhere to be seen and Kalina is barking over the side of the porch. It's pitch dark out and I'm shaking like a leaf now because I think Kalina is trying to tell me that tiny Matty fell off the porch and is in the bushes dead of a broken neck or something equally horrible. I start screaming MATTY, MATTY and of course my neighbor hears the screeching and comes running out. She gets a flashlight and we start looking all around for Matty, nowhere to be seen! Can I tell you that my heart is beating like a drum now? My neighbor and I put Kalina on a leash and, with flashlight in hand, start walking around the neighborhood calling MATTY and looking for her. I'm scared to even look because I don't want to see her dead in the street. At this point my husband comes driving down the street with Jana AND MATTY in the car. He took her with him to pick up Jana!! AND HE NEVER TOLD ME!! AND HE DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE KALINA WAS ON THE PORCH. Anyone could have stolen Kalina!! I am relieved now, but I'm so angry with him. He went to bed, but I keep going up there and going in the bedroom to tell him what an idiot he is!! |
There'd be no "going to Kill him" about it! He would have been dead the minute the car stopped and I got my skin kid and my furkid back! You must have been terrified. I can't even imagine! That's terrible. I'm so glad Kalina didn't get taken or run off!!! |
 I would be pissed too! I'm glad they are both okay! |
Well, I wouldn't kill him, my sister says we are not allowed to kill our husbands, some silly law about it, but I would sure make him wish he were dead!!!! So, glad both your babies are safe & sound. Sheila |
Oh, you deserve to be mad! I would be furious too! So glad everyone is safe and sound though! |
I can imagine the panic you must have felt! I'd be mad too!! |
I'm glad your babies are okay, I know you were scared to death. Why do men have to do stupid stuff all the time?! |
wow i am sorry you went thru that!!! Panic STINKS!!! I am Sooooo Happy they are ok Kiss them for me :) |
I know that panic!! but try not to be too hard on him! i think it is sweet for taking her...but not too nice he didnt tell you!! I think he learned a good lesson!! Glad everyone is safe! |
I am coming over to help move the body:D Seriously though, I am so glad everyone is safe... |
so glad everyone is ok -- at least I hope as I post the same can be said for your hubby  What does your husband have to say for himself? |

So far he's looking sheepish but hasn't said anything. He absolutely adores Matty, but he could have told me!! I'm not ready to forgive. Maybe tomorrow. |
See! This is what living in Jersey does to people! |

Glad everyone is okay. And glad you have a hubby that loves the baby enough to want to take him with her. |
Oh my gosh, I would have been so scared too. I can see why your mad. Sometimes I just don't know what goes on in the brains of men. They do not have the same thought process as us. :D Glad everyone's ok though. :) |
Oh Susan. I totally understand. I have two boys and a husband and their brains are in their tushies. I can't tell you how many times I've yelled because one of them forgot to bring the girls in after their potty. Not that they were out long (maybe 5 min.) but I do not leave them alone outside. I totally panic if I don't see one of them. I'm glad Maddie is alright. Elaine |
I would've died! |
 what a scare for you! Thankfully nothing bad happened, but gees you did not need a big scare like that! Hopefully he learns a lesson and next time he tells you that he is taking her with him. |
I am so terribly sorry for your scare. Sounds like something my hubby would do, WOULD DO????? I mean has done!!! I know that heart sick feeling. I am sure glad that all ended well. |

What a scare........ Quote:
I don't know what I would of done to my husband.... I'm sure it would not have been good, but he is as picky about them as I am.:aimeeyork I know we had a scare with Tillie one night she was chewing on one of those rawhide sticks. Her and Tessy loved chewing on them. I was standing in the kitchen and I heard her kind of choking and I told Bob something is wrong with Till and I picked her up and she had the rawhide stuck in her throat, we did not know what to do. I tried to stick my finger down her throat and get it, I couldn't reach it by this time I was really getting panicked, thank goodness my son was home he heard all the camotion and came in there, I was crying and tild him Till was choking he got his finger down her throat and pushed the rawhide on down. I just hugged him and started crying. Till was scared to death she stayed on my lap the rest of the evening which was fine with both of us.:p We have not gave them anymore rawhide chews. |
Not fair to Kalina!! OMG, thank god your babies are safe!!You know that's something I did one day... I took off with one of our babies, and didn't tell my hubby, but I sure have never left any of my babies outside unattended...I'm sure he had good intentions, and just didn't realize Kalina wanted to go for a ride as well... |
I'm glad he had her! My mom did that to me once, she took London to the car ahead of me without telling me and I was going crazy looking for her and thinking she escaped behind my mom. I was sooo mad! |
Yeah, I would've been very upset...thank goodness they are both okay!! |
OMG! What a scary experience you had!!!! I am glad that everything turned out okay. If I were you, I would keep telling my husband how careless he was for at least a week so that he will remember the outcome of not taking good care of my babies!!!! |
Wow ... that was a big scare ...... thank God you have your Babys back ..... I know how you feel ...... my man does something like that too ...... we don't smoke in the house so he opens the Porchdoor and smokes .... not noticeing that Maya slipps out and runs around UNLEASHED on the Porch .... and then he shuts the door ..... happened several times now ..... .... |
Ohhhhh, I would be SOOOOOOOOOOOO FURIOUS!!! I can't say I blame you one bit. I'm glad bot furbabies are ok though. |
What are they like........men!;) A couple of weeks back I said to hubby, where is Tink? I don't know he said.....carrying on working in the garden..... I searched the house, looked out the front of the house, shed, she was no-where to be found.... Panic.....scream....heart racing.....searching the back garden.... Where is she?:eek:Where is she? Hubby looked where I had looked, in the street......etc She could not be found:confused: THEN.....on returning to the house I heard a faint little scratch in the under the stairs cupboard (coat cupboard). Open the door and who was sat there?....:aimeeyork Tinkerbell! She must of gone in when hubby got his coat out and just stayed quiet while I was running about like a :( mad woman screaming her name, and calling hubby every name under the sun!:thumbdown Well you can guess who was in the dog house;) |
