Wow...they are so funny. I would have made it a point to take that back and show her who is boss. Probably would have bitten her myself. Try her again and see if she shows some more food aggression. Those chicken filets are like doggie gold. Turns them into crackheads. |
im not worried or bothered by her.. its ok. believe me, lexi is not dangerous..i guess if i really wanted to get that chicken, i would.. so whats a couple of open wounds right? now im cracking up.. i will tell you that i can take from her food bowl when she eats.. thats ok. |
Chachi did that once over a chicken bone. He was hiding under a little couch we have and I reached to get it from him and he growled and bit me. My Husband tried to get it from him and he did the same thing. So my Husband lifted up the small couch and chachi came out and he rolled him on his back and told him no bad. He never did it again |
one time lexi had something she shouldnt of had and i told my boyfriend, get it out of her mouth... he told me hell no , she drew blood on him once before.. |
Of course it's all about dominance as we know. Buddy will do it still from time to time. I know the signs and try and prevent it before it occurs. Just last week I went to touch his food bowl and he growled at me which he has not done in ages. Within a second he realized what he did and was all over me kissing me and begging for forgiveness. I make him sit and look at me before releasing him to eat. He still tries to be boss from time to time. This can be a dangerous thing if not corrected. I have been working on it since he was a puppy. I have always said that some of these Yorkies are certainly a challange. Bud's one of them. Being smart and loving and verbal at times he never gives up trying to be alpha. Take control Gina. Lexi is a cutie but don't let her use it against you. Show her who's boss. They truly know when we don't mean it too. |

I have a little witch too!! As adorable as can be ,,,dont be fooled!!! My little Chloe is almost a year old,and as sweet as you can get---when she wants to be!! If I am sitting on the couch and she is too,,noone else is allowed to come near it,she will run after any one that dares! She chases big dogs out of my yard, she is a bully.I havent attempted taking anything out of her mouth yet,,although she plays with bones and will bring them back to you to throw. She sure thinks she runs the house and my other 3 dogs,,,she doesnt realize that she is little!!:aimeeyork |
That is too funny! |
Oh yea, if Guinness is eating or chewing on a stick, FORGETABOUTIT, he won't let you near him. BUT before he sits down to eat it, he likes to play with you and have you catch him, but once he's sat down to enjoy, don't even try. I do take toys away though, he won't bite with those, even his favorites, but he will with food and treats :( |
ooohhh little brat! LOL some treats are worth fighting for I guess :) |
I have always made it a point to pat and touch both of my babies often when I put there food down. Once in a while I will take back a bowl and then give it back to them. Never has either one of them reacted badly and I continue to do this so they hopefully never will !!! |
