Full Grown? When do yorkies hit full grown size? Around what age? Is it closer to 1 year or after or before? Does anyone have any knowledge of that? Thanks for whoever can answer that for me. God bless, Heather |
Depends on the yorkie really, some of the smaller ones stop growing at quite an early age but generally I'd say that at 9 months they are nearly done although (as in Gypsy Rose's case) if they are spayed they can FILL OUT a lot! Gizzie is 6 months and at 3 lbs I don't think she will grow much more but I could be wrong!! |
It can vary any where from 6 months to a little over a year, depending on the line your dogs are from. Usually the 6-9 month range is the norm, but there have been some that have continued to grow up until about 14 months. Tines are usually done growing by 6 months, the norm of 5-7 pounders are about 9 months and the larger pet dogs that are bred can grow over a year. |
