Ok so I have three pups and one new puppie. Duewy is @3 1/2 mnths old. You guys know himm.... you all pursuaded me to keep him...LOL
Anyway, this AM I wake up and the puppys face is soaking wet!!! Do you want to know whyyyyyyyyy?? Because my other dogs spent the entire morning licking his face. Around his eyes...EVERYWHERE on his face!! I can't take it anymore... Why do they do this? I also catch those three licking eachothers faces too~~ I don't get it!! I hate hate hate it!!! (sorry a little venting here)
Anyone have dogs that do this ? and does anyone know why? The vet tells me it is nothing and all dogs do it... but there must be a reason why!!

Maybe, He has food on his face!! LOL (only kidding) But really maybe because he is so young its a mother instinct.. I know Bell is always licking her babies. :p

I think its cute, of course i wouldn't want to wake up to a wet face... :rolleyes: maybe they have their own way of talking to each other...? or maybe its a motherly thing .(especially with maddie) oh yea i'm glad to see you on the forums!!! i'v been looking for posts by you!! :D

BTW-tucker is always sticking his head in rusty's mouth so he gets all slimy, so i know what you mean. :p rusty doesn't care though. they are best buds. (hey your situation could be worse, they could be attacking duewy... :aimeeyork )

Well Megan if it was just Maggi doing it then I would say yes its the mother in her.....but they all do it !! Its just crazzzzzyzyyyyyyy.....and a little gross to be honest...lol

Rusty & Tucker sooo cute together... I think its pretty funny that Tucker & Duewy don't look that much alike. Duewy is JUST like Maggi... maybe Tucker got more of his dad...SOOO CUTE!!

ooh i see now!!! maybe they are just showing him some love :rolleyes: lol!! i guess its the kind of driving you crazy like where you get out of the shower and they sit there and lick your feet until they are all sticky...eeeeewwwww!!!! i found it funny too, that they don't look much alike. i have seen pics where they look practically identicle and others where you wouldn't know unless some one told you. :p good luck!!!! they are all adorable!!!!!

My big dogs lick each other when they have something wrong. For instance, when one has an eye problem the other licks it. Molly, my oldest dalmation has ear problems often and I always see the other one licking her ears. Does he have runny eyes or anything of the sort?

I can imagine how frustrating can be. I agreed with Megan, it can be worst. It the vet said is normal I wouldnt worry.

Megan, i love the pic of your furbabies, too cute. :)

Maybe a little tea tree oil on the fur but make sure it does not get into haer eyes. The others will not like the taste and leave her alone..

All my little dogs like to stick their head in my golden retriever's mouth. They also like to lick inside his mouth. It's so gross!

haha! Every morning Hallie crawls up to me for her morning belly rub and every morning here comes SImon to lick Hallie's face! I always say he is giving her her good morning kisses, all over her face, in her eyes, in her ears......I don't have a solution since it's only one of them doing it but I can see how with more it would make me crazy too!
