Heck, mine even lick the cats head. I knew cats groomed each other, but I had never seen dogs do it until I got my yorkies. |
I don't know why. Mine don't lick each others face but they definitely lick my face. |
IMO it's the mothering instinct, it shows love. You don't have to teach your Yorkie to kiss, they just do it. I think if there's nothing wrong, it's just showing love. And yes, the males have it too, have you ever seen pix of males trying to raise puppies? There ya go. Pirogue is a sloppy kisser. He doesn't do it much so I don't discourage him, but it's hard to stand it till he's done. LOL Sylvia |
This is OT but I just wanted to say that if you have a dog that chews the wooden furniture (always the best pieces) you can rub Tea Tree Oil on it just like any furniture oil. Just cover the spots don't put it all over the whole piece. And, somewhere I read a post about using deodorant to stop them chewing. BY JOVE! IT WORKS!!!!!!!!! on door facings and moulding and on leather furniture.. |
Love to hear it It was my suggestion on the deodorant and yes, it has worked for almost everyone that has tried it. I saw it first on "You good dog, You" on Animal Planet at a time that I thought my boys would eat every stick of furniture that i owned, such a simple solution, by the way, my boys are almost 9 pounds and 7 and I would not trade them for the world. |
