I gave my lil guy a bath the first day because he didn't smell good. Just make sure its warm. Test the water by your forearm tho. The skin on your hand is thicker and can stand more heat. I'd also hold her in a towel to get most of the moisture off of her, and then use the blow dryer on a light setting. I also bought a lil bear from Target that had a pack that you heated in the microwave. After I bathed and dried Meeko, I wrapped him in his blanket with the heated bear and he fell rite asleep. |
I give baths to my babies around 6 weeks old but I always recommend to the adopting families not to give them full baths and wait at least 2 weeks before doing it as it will add more stress to the puppy, being that they will be in a completely new environment and just got separeted from their mommy and sibilings and a bath is always scary for young puppies. Try baby wipes to clean her up, it will fresh them up a lot and give a fresh scent as well. |
thanx guys i appreciate ur help. however, posted that like 3 weeks ago lol i already bathed her lol. thanks for the good ideas tho im sure someone who has my question will find this useful |
