Tatum won't let me get on the computer anymore.
 

Ok, so I am losing my mind here lol. Tatum has started this "new thing" :rolleyes: where she whines and cries every single time I get on the computer. I kid you not. She does not want me out of her sight and she gets SO upset when she doesn't have my full attention. I seriously don't know what to do about this :confused: It's like any time I am not with her, she just cries for me :( She seriously acts like such a little baby! :eek: I don't know what to do with her!

I get on here and try to relax and read posts, reply to PM's, etc., and I am just a nervous wreck because the whole time I am on here Tatum is standing there looking at me crying. She is doing it right now! :eek:

She never whines or cries when I am with her, when she is sitting on my lap or when I am holding her (she LOVES to be held, but by me only, lol).

OMG, I'm sorry to say but this little girl is just making me lose my mind here, LOL. She makes me a nervous wreck when I am trying to type and she is just standing there crying :( It's just like she has to have my full attention or she is not happy and I don't know what to do about it!

Hubby says when I walk out the door she just lays right by it, as close as she can possibly get to it, and she just waits. For me to come back in :( She also won't jump off the couch anymore (she is seriously becoming the biggest baby and I don't know why LOL) and if I get up even for TWO SECONDS, she CRIES HER HEAD OFF for me and will NOT stop until I pick her up.

Is there anything I can do about this?? :confused: I mean honestly, I have no idea! :confused:

After sitting here typing all this, she is STILL crying for me to pick her up. Oh good Lord...someone help me :eek: LOL.

Sooooo....pick her up! LOL You mean you haven't mastered the Yorkie method of typing? I thought we ALLLLL typed with a yorkie in our laps, or at least, on the desk! :D Abigail is not in here right now; but, if she were, her little head would be bee-bopping with each keystroke, as she plants her head on my wrist! I sometimes have to move her so I can get around the keyboard!

i say dont encourage her. dont give in. I know its hard but do not pay attention to her when she is whining! pebbles does this too. whenever i leave the room she starts to whine and cry... it has gotten so bad she has even learned how to HOWL with her little tiny voice! she is too much!! talk about a baby! when she is doing this i ignore her and when, for whatever reason, she stops for a bit.. i come running in and say GOOD QUIET and give her affection. I try to do this throughout the day, to make her learn that she can get attention/please me by being quiet, instead of thinking that by crying she will get attention. I dont know if this will work for all situations, but i read this in my training book and it seems to be working so far

Well see that's the thing! I hate holding her up here because when I type, her little head always gets bounced around, and she doesn't particularly like that LOL. :rolleyes: And she will NOT get on my desk as she is DEATHLY afraid of heights. Heck she'd probably cry even more if I did that, lol - and she would be as stiff as a board shaking and wouldn't move :(

I guess that's my biggest problem...I just HATE to hear her cry when I know that all she wants me :( I know I'm a nut, but I feel like SHE thinks I'M being mean by not picking her up :( Or I feel like she thinks that I don't WANT to pick her up...however that so is not the case :( But heck, I mean I can't hold her 24/7 :( I just feel so awful when I hear her squeaky little whine lol, and I don't pick her up. She just stares up at me with those big brown eyes of hers and it just kills me :(

Your right though...I'm sure ignoring her little whines and then praising her when she's quiet will work...I am going to have to try that. But I have to say, it is going to be HARD. lol.

awwww...poor Tater Tot! Well, actually, I've been surprised that Abigail stands for all the bouncy-bouncy of her head, too! I thought she would tire of it, and move, or get down; but, no. Most of the time, she either curls up on my lap, or plants her head on my wrist, and bounces out the post with me! LOL

Sorry I have no helpful advice, since I give in to mine, too :D

Well, you are just going to have to get that talk and type software :p so you can hold her and talk into your computer!:eek:

Omg, that is so cute and so funny :p I have actually done that before, but Tatum gets frustrated because when I type her little head bounces all over the place lol...because she always wants to rest her little chin on my arm :( Geez...I don't know what to do with this girl :rolleyes: If she wasn't so darn scared of heights, I'd just put one of her little beds on my desk and let her hang out there. But of course she would be scared to death because she's up so high.

uh oh! it sounds like she sure has you tied around her little finger :) dont underestimate them! they know exactly what they are doing! tatum knows you and knows whining works on you, so thats why she does it :rolleyes:

Oh lord!! Riley has started doing this too. I can play with him for hours and as soon as I take a break and check YT, he cries.:( Sometimes if I'm laying in the floor, he'll come sit on my chest. Lol. I try to ignore him. I absolutely hate doing it, but he eventually goes and plays with his toys. I feel like I'm ignoring him though.:(

Banjo was doing that some, also! but not all the time- just if he didn't have anything HE WANTED to do!!:D I would give him a kong w/ peanut butter! Give him something else to think about for a bit!!

Banjo's playpen is right by my PC, but that got to be a game for my attention- Let me in it- ok- now let me out! No I want back in- out. please- right now!!!Yap, yap, yap,yap!!!
I quite that game-he liked it much more than I did!!do you have a crate- but it on a chair by you- make sure she can't wiggle it off the chair!!

Oh my gosh, Tatum does that too! If I happen to lay down on the floor (which usually isn't very often, lol...I usually just go to the couch :p) - but if I do...there's Tator :rolleyes: RIGHT on my chest! I mean she's ALWAYS there, no matter what...:eek: I swear, she is just glued to my hip!

I really am glad to hear that I am not the only one though...WHEW! :eek: lol. Riley and Tate sound very similar in their little ways :p I am going to have to just try and ignore her and see how she does :confused: She is very hard headed sometimes though, lol...she doesn't ever want to just GIVE UP! :eek:

Hmmm...I have tried giving her toys before and she just TOTALLY ignores them :rolleyes: She plays with them alot, but only if I am in the room with her, not focusing all my attention on the computer if that makes any sense lol. I might try giving her-her Chilly Bone as she REALLY does love that thing. She also LOVES LOVES LOVES crushed ice (I swear she likes it more than treats :eek:) - she has a thing for all things "cold" - she is goofy :rolleyes: lol

Oh that's another thing :rolleyes: SHOWERS. Sometimes I just want peace...ya know? LOL. I will go in there and close the door and what do I hear? Little tiny paws on the bathroom door...and little whines, and a tiny little black Yorkie nose sniffing and twitching under the door like a bunny :rolleyes: OMG :eek: Calgon take me AWAY! :D

I wondered how everyone spent so much time at the computer with little ones. I had to "retire" for while, it was too hard to type with Joey on my lap, but I could keep reading and looking at pictures. He's older, and more independent now, and seems content to lie beside me. I'm even able to go to the bathroom by myself!

She is such a little precious; I don't know how you could resist her, I imagine she'll outgrow this with time. I just don't know how people leave them all day to go work! I have seriously cut down on my shopping except Internet; I just hate leaving him.

Archie does this too when I'm on the computer -- not only does the little stinkeroo whine, but he hops up and down next to my chair. If I really don't want to be bothered, I say, "No -- Mommy is doing something right now," and then ignore him. He'll then lay down in his bed and look pitifully at me or go off somewhere else in the house. Sometimes, if I REALLY don't want to be bothered with him, I'll bribe him with a Kong stuffed with his favorite yummies. The, sometimes, I give in and let him up on my shoulder and try to type with one hand!

Little Man whines when I am on the computer too, I usually pick him up and put him in my lap. Makes it hard to type when he isn't comfortable. He likes to press the space bar with his paws. He loves to lay in my lap like he is now. He does like to lay under my chair and feet too. He does try to lay on my shoulders like he does when we are on the couch, but I don't let him do that. I'm afraid that he will decide that he wants down and try to jump off.

And when I have the laptop out, oh boy! He is right there in front of me with his head right on the built-in mouse too! I had to turn that mouse off and buy a regular mouse to use.

Wrigley is obsessed with my Mom! She has to know where she is at all times, if she's in a deep sleep and my Mom gets up, her little head pops up to see where she is!
She will sit and cry and whine if she wants to be picked up when she's on the computer. To really drive her crazy, she will bring her bone over and keep picking it up and dropping it, over and over again!
Wrigley is obsessed with showers! If I'm in the basement and my Mom is on the 2nd floor in the shower, I can hear her losing her mind! It's like she thinks something is happening to her in the shower and she screams her head off the entire time!!
She is a total bratty, brat! That's why we call her " little Nellie Olson " from Little House on the Prairie!
I wish I had advice, just take comfort that you are not alone!:)

oh my gosh!! Pixie is worse!! she scratches at my leg and whines, growls, squeaks, and yaps gradually louder and louder until i just cannot ignore it anymore! I will have to get a video of her doing it for you! she hates me being distracted and has to have my full attention at all times! she's such a spoilt brat..but she does make me laugh because she is so strong willed and knows exactly what she wants!:p

If I am on the computer and Betty doesn't want me there...she pulls on my shirt...hard! Trying to pull me off! And barks like a German Shepherd. :rolleyes: She doesn't want me to hold her or anything sweet like that. She just feels like saying, "GET OFF!!" Her 'rottenness' is legendary! :p

Aw that is sweet. Jewels is my needy one and she does things like that too. Sometimes when I am busy I gnore her and eventually she will go off and do her own thing

Bella is the same way just in the last week....well since she was sick SO loveable and doesnt not want me out of her site???? I dont get it either.

:) Sorry you're having a problem. Scooter wants all of my attention too, so when I get on the computer, I put him on my lap and he sleeps. We're both happy that way!
