teapot yorkie? i know it sounds stupid but what is a teapot yorkie? i know people are talking about it on here.. and i've been trying to figure it out.. but i can't figure it out.. is it a bigger yorkie? that weighs like 8lbs +? i'm so confused... |
Your right its the bigger yorkies. Since the standard is 7lbs and less. I quess any yorkie bigger than that is a teapot |
well technically there is no such thing as a "teapot" "teacup" "toy" yorkie. But basically it is a REALLY small yorkie, smaller than the average yorkie that will stay small (4-5 lbs. full grown). hope that helps. ps- I have a teacup yorkie :):aimeeyork oops sorry i thought you said teacup not teapot :) |
Chachi's right. There's even a Teapot Club you can join if you own a bigger yorkie. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...ht=teapot+club |
ahh okay so i was right.. ahaha. |
I'm currently growing a "teapot". Just came back from the vet with the 15wk old babies and Princess Meiah is 3.3lbs and Capt. Jack weighed in at a whomping 5.4 lbs. |
Teapot yorkie Hi! My puppy will be 5 weeks tomorrow (he doesn't come home to me until the beginning of September) but he was weighed on Saturday and he is already 1lb 15oz...according to all the growth charts online he's on pace to be well over 10 lbs. Does anyone have any pictures of their larger yorkies? thanks |
My Roscoe is 10 pounds at 10 months. He is my baby and I love his size, you don't have to worry so much about them getting hurt, especially with my children. You can see him on my avatar, or you can look at my profile. Teapots are the best! LOL |
3 Attachment(s) Boo is a teapot, 10 1/2 lbs, and I just love how solid he is. When he gives you a hug, you know you've been hugged! :D But he is so gentle and careful with Gracie Ruth and Yogi. He plays rough and hard with DH but so easy with me. Love you Boo-boo!! Attachment 285041 Boo and baby Gracie Ruth Attachment 285039 Boo and baby Yogi Attachment 285040 |
Big is beautiful! 1 Attachment(s) My beautiful girl Twinkle is a teapot too! :D She's 12lb....her brother Wicket is 6lb, but I think he'll be a teapot too. I LOVE looking at the pics of people's tiny little babies, I think they are soooo cute...but the teapots have a special place in my heart  xxx xxx |
1 Attachment(s) this is what a 20 pound yorkie looks like..... Hamish is still angry at me for putting him in this suit at christmas....but I couldn't resist, I dress the "baby" (who is 5 lbs.) all year long. I am going to get a shirt made that says "I love my BIG Yorkie"! Kate  |

re-create elf? I can just BARELY get them to pee where they are supposed to and not eat all the coasters in the house! I don't believe you train a yorkie, I think they train YOU. I have a GSD who does search and rescue work, so, he is trained, but the little guys? Terriers do what THEY want! but l do like the idea of matching outfits next christmas!:animal36 |
Teapot yorkies I think it is a very cute name for the bigger sized yorkies. My Tilly had 3 puppies October 31, 2010, We are keeping both boys. They are now 4 months old and Teddy is 3lb 6oz and Rocky is 6 3 oz. I was really surprised to see such a large Yorkie since the Mommy and Daddy are not that big. We love him and he has a really cute personality. |
1 Attachment(s) Teapots are fun! I love how sturdy they are, you can play tug of war with more confidence than with a little one. lol My teapots love to rough play whilst my smaller girl likes to be pampered and play diva. haha Look at my 11lbs sweetie! He is 1 year and 8 months old now! |
