| ![]() Hi...I find that the pads do not have enough of the scent on them to attract them to it...so I buy the stuff to spray on it at PetsMart and it works for me. My 7 week old puppies are using the pads....I am so proud. Good Luck!! ![]()

| ![]() Welcome! The only thing I can offer is what we did to train our Toto. We just watched her like hawks and when she did go on the pad, we celebrated like crazy people and gave her a little treat! ![]() ![]()

Donating YT 30K Club Member | ![]() Welcome. Roxie is my 6 month old that the first few weeks of having her I felt like you did, I was giving her too much freedom because I felt bad crating her and seperating her from the other 3 dogs. But I started doing it every time I couldn't watch her like a hawk and then put her on the pad and said go potty and after a couple of weeks of doing this she was so much improved. Now she is about 80 % pad trained and I have given her more freedom. They really don't seem to mind being crated for short periods of time. Hang in there it gets better

| ![]() ![]() If you do a search on "potty training" you'll find many, many posts like yours. Unfortunately, it takes time to train these little guys. And in that time, you'll need to be as strict as possible. I never wanted to crate train my pup. But with consistant failure at everything else, its our best option.... Hope you find what you need ![]()

| ![]() If you have the ex pen in the kitchen that is completely enclosed so they can't get to the cabinets, etc. that will help. Cover the whole floor with potty pads so anywhere they go will be the right place and they get used to the feel of going on the pads. They gradually decrease the space covered by the pads until there is only one pad at one end and their bed at the other. Hope this helps! Enjoy 'em while they are little. They grow SO fast!
