| ![]() My Yorkie tries to bury dog biscuits in the house. He will rub his snout in the direction of the biscuit, then take his snout and litely tap the biscuit. He will do this around a dozen times. Eventually he will nudge the biscuit under a throw pillow (which is on the sofa). Has anyone else experienced this with their Yorkie? |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() You have perfectly described Joey. The first time I saw this I couldn't imagine what the heck he was doing, it's so funny to watch and he's so diligent doing it. It's like he's trying to cover it with dirt. I've never had another dog do it so I don't know whether it's common or not.

| ![]() Betty does that also. She will also bury things outside. She's saving for a rainy day. ![]()

| ![]() Yep, Buddy does that too. I give him a treat or two before I leave in the am and he will bury it in the couch and when I come in the door he runs onto the couch to retrieve them between the cushions! Silly dog. |

| ![]() My poodle mix Bella does this. She covers her bones and toys with invisible dirt ALL the time. She'll come up and put it on the side of me if I'm sitting or laying down, and then she covers it with the invisible dirt that is apparently on my stomach. She has quite the imagination.

| ![]() Welcome to YT. Murfee does that all the time. We never know where we are going to find one of his treasures. My husband came in last night with part of a treat from his GE buddy. Murfee had buried it in hubbys chair.

| ![]() Invisible Dirt - yep that describes it perfectly! Sometimes the treats are well hidden and sometimes they are hidden in plain sight. ![]() |

| ![]() LOL funny Alphy does this too. I find things under my pillows, in my shoes, etc. I've got one biscuit that's in my car that we got from the drive thru. Every time he gets in the car it gets tucked (buried) in a new spot. He knows right where he left it when he gets in the next time.

| ![]() Oh my yes. Move any cushion or pillow around here and you are likely to find a bully stick or two. It is funny to watch one of them watch the other going through all the effort of burying so the first can go and "dig up" the prize. Fights often ensue. |

| ![]() Gizmo also whines softly until he finds a place to "bury" his cookie or biscuit. Who knew we had so much invisible dirt in our house? ![]() ![]()
