Does this message sound fishy?? (selling baby) I'm still on the lookout for Jackson's bro or sis. I came upon this message on nextdaypets.com. I emailed her to find out information about her baby's demeanor and if she thought she would get along with Jackson. This is waht she wrote: Below are informations about the Puppy: Breed: Pure Breed Yorkshire Terrier Sex: Female Birth date: (8 weeks) Champion bloodlines: Yes Champion sired: No Show potential: Yes Champion Sired: No ****************************** ****************************** ************************ Hi, Thank You for the Message.I and my family are very happy to hear that you want to give our Cute & Adorable Home Trained,Potty Trained Purse Size/Tea Cup Yorkie a good home.Suga is AKC Registered,Vet Checked and up to date in her vaccinations...she weights 1lb now and she will be 3.5lbs when she fully grown up.Suga is still available and awaiting a good family home that could love her forever. What's Included:Registration Paper Current vaccinations Veterinarian examination Health guarantee(1Year) Certificate of health Health Record. We are willing to let you have her if you promise that you give all love care and attension she needed, just like the kind we have been giving her.We are asking 600USD for adoption and shipping included (Total is $600).I must let you know...letting her go is the Hardest thing that i and my family could ever do but we have no choice than to let her go because we wouldn't have much time to take care of her. We left CA because my husband got a new job...I am with my Family and the little puppy is here now so that means we would be shipping Suga from here...My sister would be taking care of the shipment of the little puppy to you so you have nothing to worry about. My son just got an admission to study law at the University Of East London,i got a new job which would be taking 14hours of my time daily and my husband would also be going to the military soon and as you can see, there would be no one to take great care of our cutie, Although we have neighbors but i must tell you,we think they can not take care of the puppy as we want because most of them also go to work. We are willing to ship her to you if you promise us that the puppy would be getting all the love, care and attention that she desires which i think matters to us most and also one more thing that matters to us is that you would also have to promise my son that you would be sending us pictures of the puppy every month so that we can see how she grows. We are willing to let you have the puppy if you promise us those two things. ****************************** ****************************** *********************** Get back to us with your shipping information such as your full name and address and also with the name and address of the nearest airport to you if you are still interested in the Puppy and if you are willing to promise us the above, i will be handling her over to the Puppy Cargo's Office as soon as payment is confirm. We would be hoping to hear from you soon. Have a Nice Day. Thanks. What do you think? Sound fishy to you? |

I find it odd she is not asking any questions of you other than to "promise" to take care of the dog and I don't think a 3.5 pound yorkie is show potential. |
I'd think twice and then keep looking. Sorry, sounds fishy to me. |
woooweeee can smell the stinky rotten fish from here. |
What should I be on the lookout for? I just dont' know what to tell her. I don't want this baby to be alone for 14 hours a day like she says. :( |
Why don't you ask if you can contact the vet I think that you probably wouldn't hear back. |
You think so? i just emailed her and asked her why she considered the puppy to be show quality when she will be so small. I will see if she replies to that. Thank you!!! |
Sounds like a scam to me. See if she'll send you copies of the pedigree and let you contact the vet. If there really is a dog, it's not show potential if she is going to be 3.5lbs! |
I just truly wonder if this person even has a puppy. Picture does not always equal puppy. And I have found some frauds on next day pets. I would just be careful. |
Fishy is right I would have to contact the vet...and the person taking care of the shipping...but the more I think about it I am not sure I trust this person...she isn't asking you any questions about how it is in your home etc. I think I would keep on looking. |
This is a typical and total SCAM! Press the delete key and keep looking. |
If this is one of those nigera scams, like it sounds, don't worry. I seriously doubt a puppy is sitting anywhere for any length of time. I'm not quite understanding where she is located. Maybe let her know that you know someone who lives where she's at and you'd like them to come see the puppy on your behalf. ???? |

I hope you're right. I will let you know if she replies back to me. Thanks! |
Sounds like a scam to me. Any type of ads that mention being overseas and having to ship automatically raise HUGE red flags for me! |

Yeah it totally sounds like a scam to me. The price is really low for the dog and shipping and they make you FEEL BAD so that you will definitely want to get the puppy. That's why they say the things they do. BE CAREFUL! |
I think it's a scam. How does she want you to pay for the puppy? Western Union maybe? How they want you to pay is usually a good way of telling if it's a scam. Money sent to them without any protection or way for you to get it back. |
Scam!!! It is a scam!! Her language is poor and these scammers are always willing to let their "puppy" go so as long as you promise them a good home and then they proceed to ask for your name and address as where the puppy will be shipped. Total scam, stay far away from them!! |
Where are they supposed to be located? She mentions London and California but if you look at the original ad it's Florida. |
what is happening to the Dam of this pup?? Husband got a new job, and then he is going into military! Way to many RED flads Ask for pictures of Dam, picters of the puppy, with you name and date in it! It is a scam, there is no puppy- IMO |
sounds like a huge scam.. I would pass You know there are plenty of YT members with yorkie babies on this site looking for their forever homes:thumbup: |
I would pass also it is a scam and she also has a english bulldog listed for sale. These are probably pictures of people's pets. |
Yorkie Scammer!!!!!! You have enough good advice, just thought I would report I too had out of country scam. They kept calling so called Yorkie by different names. I blocked e-mail, and now I wish I had played along, to a point just to find out how far they would go and educate myself and others. I just saw a BBB warning of this type scam. At least try and report this as spam, although I am sure they have a boiler room of numerous e-mail. Let YT members know results. |
At only 8 weeks old and weighing in at 1 pound this pup is too young and small to ship anyway. If they are so concerned about this pups well being why would they stick it in cargo when the weather is still so cold? Definitely too many red flags. |
Champion sired NO (had the same question twice up there), and it's one of those nigerian scams. |
Run Run Run as fast as you can... a scam I would put money on it.... Look somewhere else..... |
That is so a scam...I have read soooooooooo many "if you promise" scams its not funny.. Dawn |
Sorry sounds word for word like a typical scammer. |
