not sure what to title this... I have been going through some posts lately..I sense that some (maybe just one or two) member in this forum are trying to offer their so wrong advice to newer members who do not know anything and asking for advices. My fear is what if someone really think it is okay to do so without knowing it is not. I can't stand thinking of it happening! I hope I don't get in to trouble posting this but I am on the verge of not being able to hold my tongue on the person anymore and I am not usually like that! In fact, this is my first time on YT! |

Yikes! Hope it's not me. I don't claim to know much but once in awhile I will say something. Man, if it is me, please, please let me know. Certainly don't want to cause anyone harm.:eek: |
If you see something you don't agree with don't hesitate to post your information, just do so in a civil manner. :) From my experience here, if the information someone provides in incorrect, another member is usually quick to point out the error. |

I don't think I will PM this person. I am not a confrontational type of person. I think she will get in to trouble on this yorkie lover forum sooner or later because of what she is doing. I will just keep watch and do so in a civil manner. |
If it were me giving bad advice I would appreciate the correction. I only post on topics that I have experience in and something that may have worked for me may not be the best thing in somebody elses opinion. If somebody has a question, giving them more than one option is sometimes a good thing. As long as its posted in a nice tone I don't see much a problem. If you write something like "That was stupid advice" then expect to get some retaliation. |
:scratchhe Apparently this is a bit different than our run-of-the-mill threads with several different opinions posted? I often see people offering completely different points of view. And most of the time, it's even done civilly. :D |
heck if you disagree , speak up. what are they going to ban you, or come beat you up. i like a little trouble:D |

Lots of times there isn't one "right" answer, just different opinions on a subject. It's always good to share your opinion and give another perspective, especially if you've had experience with the issue. If it's done politely and respectfully, your input can be very helpful. |

I know how you feel... I've noticed some pretty bad advice being given before as well (and I think it goes beyond opinion...). I always worry that it will result in a puppy/dog being harmed and/or heartache for a family. I usually make sure I post my thoughts if I disagree |
I post my thoughts if I disagree but I'm sure everybody knows that by now.;) If you think bad advice has been given for whatever reason, then give different advice with plenty of references. |

I agree ...Definitely nudge gently whom has got your mind to rolling. It is better to be safe than sorry.. You do not wanna live with (IF I WOULD HAVE SAID THIS THEN THIS MIGHT NOT HAVE OCCURED) I love constructive criticism... Quite frannkly I learn from it..... I feel having different opinions is important to our society in general. I personally feel that in an open forum such as this it is extremely helpful to us all to see a variety of opinions, this allows us to see both sides and weigh our options and then choose what works best in our situation. What works for one of us may not be the right choice for another. I do agree it is not up to a few select people to shove their opinion down anothers throat, but at the same time they have a right to be passionate about their opinion. I guess what I am trying to say here is take it all in and make your own choices that best fits each individual situation. There in no right answer in this world that everyone will agree on! Life would be pretty dull and robotic of we all followed the same mold. |

Please send private message to person I am new to YT and try to tread lightly,however I would really want to know if I gave bad advice. Maybe the person you are talking about would accept a nice message. Now everone reading post are worried it might be them. Way to stir it up! |
I am new here, and I personally would really appreciate a PM if someone is giving me bad advice. So, if you ever see someone steering me on a dangerous path, please send me a PM and say so! Also, if I ever give bad advice... PLEASE tell me. I would not want to give bad information to anyone! Sometimes topics like this are best kept to PM's to avoid drama. |
