New update. Back from Florida Toby came and boy was he not impressed with the -20 weather! He is doing great. I am asking the vet about getting at least one of his cataracts fixed. That seems the only thing that ails him.

Bless his little heart. I don't blame you Toby for being unhappy with this
cold, damp weather, so am I. Hang in there little guy I promise it will warm
up for you.
I hope I get as many years from Buddy that Toby has given you and your
family. Your truly blessed.

Toby - you are a sweetheart! The FL sun must keep you young.:cool: I love to hear stories and see pics of the older "furbabies" still to us;). We mostly see pics of the younger ones and babies which is great, but can't forget us more experienced sweeties too. :p

Sorry I haven't been around. My aunt passed away and with the reno's at the cabin I haven't found time to do much of anything. I bought a I-Mac so I'm still learning how this thing works but it is a really nice computer. As for my little boy Toby, as usual he just keeps on ticking. He's pretty much blind now. He finds his way around ok though. we have to close off all the stairs so he doesn't fall down them. He still eats like a horse and wants to play, as much as a blind dog can. I am looking to get cataract surgery but I don't want him put to sleep to do it. I wanted to see if I can find a vet that can drug him but keep him awake. If I can get at least one eye done then his quality of life would dramatically improve.

What a little blessing he is!!!! Also, I noticed, according to his little Canada ID... he is now officially 17 yo!!! 7/10/1991 DOB.

I just noticed that you are from Winnipeg! I am from Thompson and have been lucky to do some meet-ups with bakerylady at Assiniboine Park when I have been in Winnipeg. We would sure love to meet up with you and meet your precious Toby at our next get together!
