Prayers...I'm so scared... My Lexie is getting spayed tomorrow...and I'm very scared. I have a weird feeling in my heart. I can't stop kissing her...I'm scared. Should I bring a blanket from our house for her? She is sleeping over night... Should I bring some of her food? She sleeps in a t-shirt because it makes her more comfortable, should I bring one for her? I'm so nervous... |
I would take her fav blankie. I will be going thru this soon enough. And I am already worried. But I am sure Lexie will be fine. Prayers.:) |
It can be nerve wracking. All the things you asked would probably be good for her so she can be comfortable. Be sure you ask which anesthesia they are using. Isoflurane is supposed to be less risky. |
It's scary, I know. She'll be fine. I'll say a prayer. Let us know how it goes. (hugs) |
Prayers for your little baby. |
Aw, poor you! It's so hard to put them through this and yet we know it's best for them. Lexie will be fine - you take a sedative! ;) She will definitely be better for having her blankie with her. The familiar smells will help her rest more comfortably. Prayers going up for you and your little one.:hands: |
awww she will be fine i was like tht last week when martini went in i cried so much that i was making my bf a nervous reck also but she came out like a tropper...hope she has a speedy recovery |
Prayers For Your Furbaby. |
Sending prayers for your baby and you! Hoping for a speedy recovery!! Let us know how everything goes!! |
Hang in there Courtney! I have faith that Lexie will be just fine. Prayers and good thoughts be sent for all to be just fine. :hands: |
Prayers for your little baby, I think having her blankie with her will make her feel better! Everything will go fine. Try to relax. |
Aww, we all worry when our babies are at the vet's. Lexie will be fine. My Remi was neutered today and will be home tomorrow. I'll keep Lexie in my prayers and send you a big hug:) . |
I have always had spay/neutered babies come home with me as soon as I can possibly have to come home.. I make them call me the minute they go in for surgery and the moment they come out of it... I insist on this.. I also insist that if all is normal.. they come home.. there are for the most part no one at the vets all night.. so why leave them.. so a vet comes in half way through the night to see if all goes ok.. NOT... I will stay awake all night first.. and have them right with me.. I am praying your baby will do alright.. I know how hard these things can be on us... |
You and your furbaby will be in my prayers! I understand I was a wreck yesterday when they put Banjo out w/ pain meds for Xrays. Scared, I was! let us know how it all goes- you will be in my prayers! |
Courtney, I wil keep both you and little Lexie in my prayers. I would take a blankey from home so that when she wakes up she will smell something familar. Hugs :ghug: |
I know how you feel. Lily was spayed last month and I was so nervous because she stayed overnight also. I would bring whatever you think would make her comfortable. I brought Lily's favorite blanket and toy. I also put some chow in a baggy to leave there. I'm sure she will be fine but I will be praying for her! |
I will say a prayer for a successful surgery. I know how scary it is...I felt the same with Maddie, and then again with Libby. I brought both of mine home the same day of the surgery. I wish you could do that. I think they feel so much more comfy being home in familiar surroundings and with their loved ones. Maybe sleep with her blankie tonight so it has your scent on it and anything to make her comfy. I'd bring food too, so they don't feed her something she's not used to. Best wishes and hugs to you. I'll be thinking of you and Lexie! |
I know how frightened you are for Lexie. She will be fine. Lots of prayer going up for your little girl and for you. Keep us updated. |

I have just now seen this post and I hope that you will post with an update. Prayers coming your way..... |
I know how frightened you must be but Lexi will be alright. Prayer's coming that her surgery goes well. I remember the day I took Buddy in and felt the sameway. Keep busy and make the day go by fast. Lexi will be back in your arms before you know it. |
I have to take Hannah in too because her heat never ended  And the best treatment to this is spaying... I am nervous too... I'm praying everything is gonna be alright w/ your baby;) |
Update!! The vet called around noon today during her pre-op exam and said that she had a couple (4-6) baby teeth that would have to be pulled at $6 a tooth. I agreed to it and the vet called again later saying that they had to pull 11 teeth because there was no sign in them budging. Her spay went fine but she is in a lot of pain because of her teeth. Thank you for all of the prayers. They put a smile on my face when I read them today while I was nervously waiting the call from my vet. I LOVE YTERS!!! |
I am so very glad that all went well and it's over with. I know about all that worrying and it's no fun. |
Glad all went well...:p |
Oh good! Glad to hear Lexie is doing OK. Tink had teeth pulled too and it was the same - the spay didn't seem to bother her that much, but she did suffer with her teeth having been pulled.:( Give that baby lots of lovin' when she comes home and try to keep her from running around too much. ;) |
Oh i know exactly how you feel!!! I was so Terrified when the vet told me they were going to have to keep Sassy overnight....But Luckily, everything went Perfectly!! & i know it will for you & your baby as well! ;) Take her Blankie & the things that make her feel comfortable....something to remind her of home :) & that she'll be back in NO Time!! Bless Her Heart throughout her procedure, & Good Luck!! Everything will be okay :D |
Glad to hear all went well!! :) |
I had to check for an update on Lexie and am so glad to see that she's doing well. I'm sure her poor little mouth is sore, having 11 teeth pulled. She'll perk up in no time...they seem to heal so quickly. Sending hugs to you and get well wishes to your little sweetie! |
I am so glad she is doing well! :aimeeyork |
