Makes me sick They ran a story on our local news about people having their dog's ears pierced to wear earrings. Of course the first one they showed was a yorkie. COme on people, this is going too far. |
I agree with you:eek: |
I saw that somewhere. Thought it was disgusting. |
Now THAT is crazy:eek: |
One word:thumbdown |
I would never pierce my dogs ears, why put them through the pain (I know it's only like a second) when they don't even ask for it, plus the risk of them scratching at it or what if it becomes infected. |
ridiculous:mad:   |

AT first the idea kind of appealed to me then my second thought was "Why would I want to do something like that to Adie - It wouldn't do anything for her health and she sure wouldn't choose it herself!" |

The Yorkie they showed, the earrings were weighing her ears down...all of this time we spend helping them get their ears up and then do something dumb like that, I don't get it. |
omg i never heard of such a thing thats just mean why would u pierce ur dogs ears..go pierce urself instead gees lol |
Yeah this is quite the new thing here. I would never pierce my babies ears! Though she did get a manicure and has cute pink nails :) |
Actually it might be nice...I would not to it.. but, a pretty earing with a nice bow ...hmm.... it could be another way of ID your pet if he/she gets lost but mine would pull it out ..or it would come out during playing. I cant even keep bows in there hair..and I think those bows get tangle and hard to get out..If you take care of it like the bows. I see nothing wrong with it |
OMG!!!!! What a horrible thing to do to a little yorkie! |
That is NUTS...... what is wrong with people today?????? :thumbdown |
There was a post about that on here a few months ago. I can't believe anyone would do such a thing. |
...Not my cup of tea...I already foresee something going to go wrong with it. What if thedog is playing with another dog and then the other dog accidentaly grab the ear ring and pull it out? That would be an uneccessary pain to endure. |
Sick! |
What next?? :thumbdown :thumbdown :thumbdown |
Ouchie!!! cannot imagine,, but then i'd never,, and didnt ever pierce my Childrens ears either,, I so hate to see little babies ears pierced,, i was 30 yrs old before i had mine pierced,, AND IT HURT!!!! |
ive seen ppl put those big hole ones in like those big circles that stretch the ear out....thats GROSS |
Can't even imagine earrings on my baby! I don't think that is something I would ever consider! |
 :thumbdown :thumbdown |
LOL No way! I think that would look so silly... I wouldn't pierce my child's ears unless they were old enough to tell me they wanted it so I won't pierce my dog's ears....she can't tell me either way but I bet she'd rather not have holes in her ears (she doesn't even like having her nails cut!) |

I did not let my children get there ears down until they were in six grade My dogs would end up chewing or pulling it out ... now that would hurt but I can not see anything wrong with it..SORRY.. Some people pierse their skin babies at 1... 2 months old ...not that is mean...that upsets me more:thumbdown that should be against the law... |
LOL, I could see Romeo with a ring through his nose. NOT!!!! |
Hey now, be nice about babies and their earrings. This was about dogs remember? I have 2 of my girls' ears pierced and the 3rd will have hers done soon. My 3 year old BEGGED me, litterally cried at the store to get them done because she wanted them so bad. I had my oldest daughters done as a baby. After going through it with a baby and with a 3 year old, I would opt for doing it as a baby anyday. Immunizations hurt WAY more than the earrings do for a baby (its very obvious). And just like with immunizations, its worse when a child is anticipating it. They are better off not knowing its coming lol. Some cultures pierce thier babies ears at birth. Much better than chopping a tail and a finger off when they are a few days old IMO. That being said :D I wouldnt give my dog an earring only because it would probably end up getting ripped out all the time by one of my other dogs while they are playing. I dont think its inhumane (people tag and brand their cows, even the friendly ones, tattoo and microchip their pets :) ) I just wouldnt want to do it personally. Some people think dressing a dog is mean and sick. Dogs werent made to wear clothes, but we do that. :) |
:thumbdown no way would i ever do that !!!! |
