Think I was taken by Yorkie puppy price? Could you discss average price for Yorkies cost in todays market. Do breeders charge more by size, meaning smaller Yorkie pups costs more, assuming quality is the same? My baby ended up not being as small although Breeder got away with $1,300 more for something I did not get. Of course I love my baby no matter how big, I just hate Breeder got away with my money after she guaranteed weight. Weight desired mainly do to Arthritis, difficult to carry and hold much weight. Now she has blocked my e-mails starting with request to honor guarantee!! |
i think its rather hard to guarantee weight. breeders definetly shouldnt charge more for smaller puppies, but unfortunately a lot of them do just because people are willing to pay more |
my sophie was $400; i am very curious to see how she turns out. no matter what, i'll love her always. she's the cutest thing now so it really doesn't matter -- she'll be gorgeous no matter what :) |
I paid $600 for Bailey - purchased from a hobby breeder. She's a standard yorkie - weighing in at 5 lbs. @ 11 mos. I knew the mother was 5 lbs and the father was 3.5 lbs - that said, Bailey's potential weight was not discussed, nor promised. I live in Kansas City. I was not interested in a teacup for fear of health issues. |

where are you guys buying your babies??? 400...600...I wish I could find my next furbaby for that much! and honestly if the pup is smaller it should be the same price BUT most breeders charge more for the smaller ones, I have even seen it done here on YT. |
Cali was 1500 2 1/2 years ago and the breeder said she was going to be 3lbs she is a bit over 5 lbs. I wasn't really looking for a tiny so it wasn't a big deal other than like you the breeder got more money for something I didn't get. |
Bikini Bikini was 1250$ but I dealt her at 1000$ with a health garantee of 2 years. She is not registered! She is now 9 months and weighs 5 pounds. She was suppose to be around 4 pounds! But she never garanteed the weigh... She is the cutest ever and I do not regret paying 1000$ ;) Good luck with your research! |

Most yorkies are $1000-$3000 so $1300 is a normal price for a yorkie. No breeder can guarantee weight....they may be able to guess but it's just that - a guess. All yorkies are small dogs. |
I wasn't out shopping for size...I wanted a healthy pup from someone reputable . Wasn't going to show ..wanted a companion. Had admired a friends Yorkie for sometime and when someone we both knew had a litter I got Maverick for under $900. He's small but I could have gotten larger as his brother was somewhat larger. I didn't dare bicker over price as he was a healthy happy puppy. His health was guarenteed NOT his "size". After being here on YT and looking at others and such I feel the breeder could have asked for more....and am just very honored that she allowed us to be his forever home. |
My first one was $600, I was told she was going to be 4 lbs, well, put a 1 in front of that 4 and that's what she is, but, she's the sweetest thing in the world. There are still a lot of them for sale down here for under $1000 in the standard size |
My puppies are sold when they are 6 - 8 months so their adult weight is never a big issue with the new owners . |
I paid 1300 for McKenzie and she's about 4.5 lbs at nearly a year. |
I can't imagine being upset because your dog grew to be 3 1/2 lbs instead of 2 :confused: I would be thankful my dog grew to be larger than 2lbs |
