Tell her she can get top of the line pure bred good quality YORKIE SHOW DOG for wayyyyyyyyyyyy less than that! |
That's more than I could ever or would ever pay. She certainly doesn't need to spend that, especially if she isn't looking for a show dog. I would tell her to come to YT and research all the great breeders that are here! |
that is WAY TOO MUCH!! IMHO |
I've seen them for as much as $10,000 but I would never pay more than $2,500. I think that would be my limit but it also depends where the dog is located. They will be high priced in certain areas....like California. |
whoppin' price I agree with everybody that $5,000 is way too much. You ARE buying a puppy and even if it is from champion stock you are never 100% sure it is going to be a star in the ring. So many things are in their dna that you may end up with round eyes, a sway back, floppy ears or an uneven coat. Puppies change and you have been overcharged. Keep looking. |
That's a ridiculous amount, especially for a PET quality baby. I have a feeling that it would only be the tip of the iceberg money wise, as a greeder like that doesn't care if the parents are sound and healthy before breeding. Thank goodness she has you to help her:eek:~! |
That's CRAZY for a pet. |
5000$ I tell you what ill be running behind that lil thing cuz im sure he better be poopin Gold!! |
ive seen them for that price as well...I think its crazy. way too much |
price The price of these things are pretty much worth what the buyer feels they can and want to pay. A pet quality puppy, that is heathy and going to give the owner, perhap 15 yrs of devotion, love and companonship may be worth it to some, but I think less then $2000 is fair for a pet in most cases...depending on age, already vetted 100%S/N etc...then again, if I saw a $5000 puppy and wanted, had the money, which I do not, knew it was from a reputable breeder, I would buy what I wanted regardless of cost.... |
I personally think that is way too much for a yorkie whether it is top of the line or not. She could get a very good CH line yorkie, from a reputable breeder for far less. Why not find one for say, $2500 or so and put the other $2500 aside for vet care/emergencies & supplies...just a suggestion. But then again, if she has it like that and saw one she can't live without then that's her perrogative I guess.:) |

http://yorkshireterriertown.gotpetsonline.com/ She's great!! Every puppy she sells comes with a gift basket and their shot records and a toy!! I think she has two more available. they're going like hotcakes. |
That's way too much money...She can purchase a pet quality dog from a show breeder for a LOT less than that...and she will have the peace of mind of buying from someone reputable who knows the history of their dog's lines healthwise... |
i would never spend that much on a yorkie knowing there are some of the most respected breeders out there that do not sell for that much. the most i will spend is 2500.00. |
