Crazy enough but i was thinking the same thing i have heard of that before.. try looking it up online this sort of thing |
Thinking the same thing!! |
I've never heard of them acting like that when they supposedly see a ghost, have seen dogs following things with their eyes before when no one else has been in the room..not here, but at Moms.. |
I hope you have a better night with Fergie! Sorry you had such a scare. I wish I could offer some advise but sadly I am clueless! |
see i thought the same that if the do see "a ghost" that they follow things around...and seem playfull to something that isnt around. ....this seemed more mental than anything...it was wierd..i thought she was going crazy..... |
We call my daughter's dog Spike the dog ghost whisperer because a few times he has freaked out and barked at nothing. One time my daughter tried to take a picture with her phone of the spot that seemed to be upsetting him and it wouldn't take a picture. She turned the phone to a different area of her room and took a picture- then back to where he was barking and... nothing. I hope Fergie is settling down. That would scare me too! |
I would also say ghost, or something hurt her. Other than that idk sorry |
Awwww poor baby, I hope she is calmed down now, and I hope what ever she saw/felt/thought (whatever freaked her out) doesn't turn her off from bathtime now. |
My mother had a pekignese that would do the very same thing.. My mother honestly thinks tot his day that "DD" Daddys Darlin was her name was definitely seeing a ghost, spirit, of sorts... It would scare DD real bad and My mom would then get scared... I am not trying to scare you at all.. I am just saying watch the signs of behavior. It is definitely something.... The only other scenario would be she remembers the last time you gave her a bath and she associates getting one again and then she got skittish and it scared her and then things escalated kinda like when your dog is happy she is running and playing then she gets faster and runs in circles in and out of stuff constantly non stop and it is hilarious to watch well THINGS ESCALATED so watch the signs and I will ask my mom more in depth questions... But I have seen DD do it one time she was on the bed and she barked the bed post down clawing and yelping and when I would go to get her she was stiff.... Right after that my mom shared with me that DD has seizures... SO WATCH HER CLOSELY i am not trying to scare you this is OUR STORY not yours so dont panic.. Just observe your baby... If it keeps going on call your vet and then another thing I would do is REPEAT THE EXACT STEPS of giving her a bath like you did and see if she does it again IF SHE DOESNTTHEN YOU CAN RULE OUT HER BEING SCARED OF TAKING A BATH and then you can watch for other signs!!! |
thanks for all the responses...i am happy to say that she seems like her normal self again today! I am happy....just hoping nothing like that happens again ..cause it was seriously ...the scariest thing ive been through with her.:( |
