These lixit water bottles... i had something like that when i had birds, and my brother's hamster had something like that too-- i never heard of doggies drinking from that... hmmm Bellie has glass bowls anyways...but that is interesting |
I never knew anything about the plastic bowls being bad either. And I must have 40 of them b/c I use clean food dishes for my 2 cats in the morning (they have a SS water bowl) and a clean water dish for Max and a clean food dish in the morning and evening for him. They all get rinsed and put in the dishwasher after that. Max has a ceramic dish for his dry food, but maybe I should just use ceramic for everything. We have really hard water and I don't like the way it wears the SS bowls, so guess I'll have to invest in a bunch of ceramic ware now! Thanks for the heads up! |

How large of the glass do you use? I've bought both the plastic and glass ones (SMALL ones though) and they both dripped; I took them back and replaced them but they still dripped. I don't know if I was doing something wrong or what. I know the large glass bottles seem to work fine; maybe it's just the smaller ones? |

Where do you put the water bottle? I guess I haven't seen them for dogs, only ones hanging on a cage, so I'm trying to picture where you could put it:confused: Do you think it would be just as good to use for cats too? |
I also did not know this! I'll go out and get my jamie some stainless steel bowls tomorrow! great thread! |
