Desperate PRAYER needed!!!!
 

Hi all... about a week or two ago I posted an adorable pic of my daughter holding our four babies...two labbies and two yorkies. The chocolate lab boy is missing as of tonight. We are so devastated. It's so hard for me to type.

I sent him to stay with a friend temporarily because we don't have a fenced yard and he kept leaving the property. He was penned up outside at our house all the time due to his destructive behavior in the house....we are moving eventually and would be putting up a fence at our new place.

he found a place to get out at my friend's and has been missing for a few hours. They walked up and down the dike that is behind their house, and through the little town of Orting for a couple of hours with no luck. They have notified the police that he is missing also.

i'm terrified he will get hit by a car. She lives in town, albeit a small town, and we live out in the boonies way off the main road. So he's never been around cars or any traffic. He is also blind in one eye due to an accident when he was younger. He's also NOT tagged....because I'm a terrible mom. I was planning on getting a tag and collar for him, and forgot about it. I'm so angry with myself. Sawyer is the best labbie...he's so loveable and sweet...loves everyone. he's a huge 90lb dog and almost 5 years old.

Please please pray for his safety, and that he will make his way back to my friend's house to sleep in his comfy doghouse tonight...it's snowing too. If he goes back there, we will be bringing him home to stay and my dear hubby said he will stop all the house building to put up a fence here at our current house for him. If he can make it through tonight, I believe we will find him and be able to bring him home....please say lots of prayer for him...I know God cares about the things that we care about and that he gave us the animals to be in our care. I have been remiss in my care of Sawyer, and I just pray for a second chance.

Oh Deb, I am sending prayers that Sawyer DOES find his way back to your friends house....tonight. He is a beautiful lab. (I saw the picture you are talking about) Your are NOT a bad mom. Hang in there, be strong and remember we are all praying for you, your family and Sawyer. :animal-pa

Oh my. I can feel your worry. Prayers for you and Sawyer to be reunited tonight. And an extra little prayer that Sawyer will realize all that cool freedom isn't what it's cracked up to be.

Perhaps he is trying to make his way home to you?

It has happened a number of times! :hands:

I hope he doesn't try to get here. He would have to travel on a country hwy that is not lit, and he's so dark, he could EASILY get hit. I really hope that's not the case. I'm thinking he smelled something yummy and got sidetracked. When he gets cold enough, if no one picks him up or hits him, I think he will go back to my friend's house...i hope. We will be heading out early with flyers to search for him and post the flyers all over.

I just heard from my friend that he was sighted this afternoon several times...people will round him up if they see him and they have her number. they know his name now. he's easy to lure with food. Also, she alerted the police so they will let her know if he's seen. They won't pick him up unless he's dangerous or injured. Bummer...I wish they would pick him up if they saw him.

She left her property gate open so he can easily get in if he comes back too...

I'll let you know in the am what happens.

Great News!! I guess a 90 pound lab is easy to spot!! We'll be waiting for the good news when he's safe and sound.

I can't sleep knowing he's out there. Golly these animals are our children, aren't they? My friend's hubby thinks he will come back on his own. I'm hoping for a late night call that she found him sleeping in the doghouse...

I have many relatives in the Buckley area that I will pass this
thread on to and ask them to also pass it on to neighbors and
friends so if he's spotted they can get him back home where he
belongs. Praying for his safe return...

Hoping your baby has found his way home safely by now.

I couldn't sleep last night, so i got back out of bed at 11 pm...looked on craigslist one more time. I found a post from Orting, where he disappeared, that said Lost Brown dog, Lab or Lab mix. No collar, friendly fellow. Please call to identify markings before 10 pm. I was so bummed as it was too late in the day. So I emailed her immediately, gave her my friend's number and name. She called within 10 minutes! Sylvia identified his white spot on his chest and his cloudy right eye...at that moment, he was sound asleep in this kind lady's daughter's bed with the daugher/!!!! Can you believe it? I had just prayed before getting out of bed, that God would have mercy on my poor daughters...my 11 year old just lost her horse this past year, and we've lost two dear friends in the past two years. I don't want their faith to falter. And God is faithful...I'm so thankful that he had mercy on all of us and brought him home. I will be going to pick Sawyer up today. Mike will have to get to planning that fenced yard he promised me.

Whew...what a long night it was. I still couldn't sleep even after i knew he was safe. I'm so thankful for our furry friends...we love them sooo much!
