I am so sorry about Sam, but I am glad he's ok. Accidents can happen in a split second. But remember, they are just that..an accident. |
he may or may not be okay. Seems like everything is fine except his motor skills need to improve. he could have permanent damage. let's all pray not. |
I certainly hope that he doesn't have permanent damage but I'm sure that if he does his momma will take very good care of him and love him just the same. |

You made me laugh....My hubby says this all the time.....He says everyone needs to have at least one daughter..... Joyce |
I just want to say that I admire Mary very much. It isn't easy to come on YT and admit that something went wrong. Her courage might prevent another such accident from happening to another family. I have made my mistakes too. First, Gizmo found rat bait behind my 21 year old son's entertainment center. Several months later, Gizmo ate a silica gel pack on my son's floor from a Guitar Hero game. I think we need to share our experiences and learn from each other. I hope that's what this forum is all about. :) Hugs to you Mary! Keeping you, Sam, and your whole family in my prayers. |
I don't understand why she wanted to leave?? I don't see any mean post in this thread? I'm corn-fused! As far as your daughter goes, it sounds like she is crying out for some major attention. Kids act out for a reason. I think she needs an awakening, she will be 18 soon and how is she going to act on her own? Does she have a job yet? I'm very lucky, my 17 year old is a great teen, she has been working since she was 15. She loves shopping and she loves it more when it's her own money! I hope Sam is all well now! |

It's always hard to turn a harsh experience into a positive lesson. With all the love and prayers Sam should be back to his old self in no time. I hope everyone involved can find some peace. Mary stay strong for your little guy! Dee, I can't even imagine how it feels to be in your position. You will be in our thoughts. |

Just re-reading this all after sneeking a few peeks while at work. I am glad that Sam is on the mend....I too feel a kind of attatchment to him since he is Toby's brother. I am positive that Mary is doing everything in her power to give him all the extra TLC that he will need til he's feeling better. I would assume and hope that it is a bit normal to be a little wobbly after having a concussion and maybe part of it is do from his little body being still sore from the fall. Let's not jump to conclusions and just think (pray) positive thoughts for a speedy full recovery! ((((((((BIG HUG to you Mary....and a soft gentle hug for Sam))))))))))))))) |
Prayers going up for your baby! |
max momma... I'm just reading this and wanted to say that I'll be praying for your little Max, too. You sound like a wonderful lady and a loving Mom - take care of your baby, your family and yourself! Never mind the rest of this. I'm sure you feel bad about it all - but your focus needs to be on that baby, you and your family. Prayers and Best Wishes! PS - I have a 20 yr old daughter and know exactly what you're going through! It does get better :p |
It sounds like everything possible has been done for Sam and that he's in good, loving hands. I pray for his speedy recovery and I appreciate Mary sharing this situation with us. Every time I read YT posts, I learn something else to watch out for with my babies. Dee, I'm thinking about you, too. Little Sam will always be one of "your babies" and I know you've been worried sick. |
I'm kind of lost, haven't been on too much at all today or lastnight..Your daughter is almost 18 and she's not allowed to pick the puppy up, unless she's sitting down? Now, I can see telling a small child that, but, heck, when I was her age, I was having a real baby...I'm just thankful he's okay.. |
