I am glad Sam is ok and is on the mend. It was an accident and unfortunately these things just happen. If your daughter is only into money, thinking of only herself and is acting indifferent. Have her help to pay the vet bill. I don't know her but most teens act like that when they don't want anyone to see how upset or emotional they are. It is a phase she should grow out of when she gets out in the "real world" and is on her own; paying their own way tends to help them grow up. |

Let me say it like this(and I'm saying this in a nice way)..in the last 3-4 mos. I have known two ADULTS to accidentally drop their yorkies(not kids, in my book if a yorkie jumps from a 5 year olds arms or an adults, the chance of them surving a fall from a child is much better)..the thing is, this child was almost 18, as I stated, I had my first child at barely 18..I know a lot of breeders dont' want to sell yorkies to people that have kids..I do feel the op was doing all she could to keep this from happening, but the thing is, these little dogs DON'T just jump from childrens arms, none of the 2 recent ones have happened with a child, but as I stated, a grown adult..I feel bad for the Max and Sams mom, but, sweetie, accidents happen, and believe me, there have been a lot more of these accidents with older people, they just don't come on here and let anyone know... |
Since I know everyone here is worried about Sam i am going to give everyone a update on him. He ate and drank and took his pill and took a nap when he woke up he ate and drank again and i had him on my lap but he kept standing up (ON HIS OWN) and he kept trying to get down but being that he is still a LITTLE wobbly i won't let him down by himself (because i don't want him to fall)so i put him in his kennel where he leaned on the side of the kennel (smart baby he didn't want to fall over) and walked around it until he found somewhere that he wanted to poop and he did then he went back to the back of it and laid down (i am washing his messy blanket now) he is giving kisses and wagging his tail and gets very excited when Max comes and sits with him :) I have him either right beside me or on my lap at all times the vet said that the problem with the motor skills was common with a conccusion and they are improving by the hour. I felt like i owed it to my fellow ytr's to update them on Sam because i know you all are worried and you care very much about him and i have became close to alot of you and to me you are my family *HUGS* Mary |
Thanks, Mary, for the update. I'm glad he is doing better. |
Oh Mary, what an ordeal you've been through with your lil guy. Thank you so much for the update, I was just on my way to find the other thread you started about him. I'm so glad he's improving and I'll continue with prayers as long as your baby needs them. Did the vet say how long it could possibly take for a full recovery? I'm just so thankful he's there with you and a recovery is within full reach. |

I had a min pin that ran into a wall and gave herself a concussion, My husband gave her mouth to mouth all the way to the vet...She had to learn to walk all over again too. She couldn't stand without falling, however, I gave her many opportunities and in no time at all she was walking. She did this when she was just a tiny pup chasing after my other dog, and she lived until she was 16 years old. I knew she was a fighter when she bit the dr. on the shoulder when he took her out of the incubator. That was the one and only time that she had ever bitten someone! You will be amazed how quickly your little Sam will gain his motor skills back. I wish you the best of luck! |
I am so glad to hear you baby is back home and wagging his tail. That must make you feel so good inside. I also like you believe that all the positivity, prayers ,and love have helped pull him through. I was also up last night and like "Myfairlacy" was thinking about you and your baby and praying things were alright.I sure hope you and your family can have a peaceful night and get a good rest. I admire your very quick response and the love you show for your little Sam. Here's to getting him better and wishing you a very good life with him!!!Please take care of yourself!!! Mary |
