Hugs to you and prayers still coming for lil Sam. I hope it is just bruising that is causing the mobility issue. That had to hurt a lot. Keep us informed when you have a minute and feel like it. Try to take care of yourself, too.

Sam is sitting here on my lap right now the only place he has been since he has been home well i did try to put him in his kennel but he cried so i took hom out and held him and he stopped crying and fell asleep he is still a little wobbly the vet has him on Prednisolone 5mg tablets 1 a day for 4 days then a 1/2 a day for four more days he is improving as time goes on i won't let him down to walk because i don't want him to fall over

it's too late now but I would have left him at least another night. I have been out all day and just now reading this and just talked to Mary. She assures me she thinks he will be alright but i still am upset over this.

And i totally understand believe me i have been a total basket case myself and i think i am going to send my oldest down to see Dee and let her deal with her for a few days even though i don't think it would take Dee that long to get some things sunk into her head don't get me wrong i love my daughter but no one here sees and knows what i know about her and what kind of person she is believe if any of you did you would probably be asking why she isn't in a girls school by now and i did have it set in my head when i got to the vet that i was going to have them keep him another night but then i found out that my vet had came in this morning to look at Sam and then had to leave because he had the flu and that would have left his partner there to care for Sam and he is not someone i like or trust with any of my babies i figured this way i could keep a eye on him all during the day then set my alarm to wake up every 2 hours to check on him

As worried as I get about Lacy...I can't imagine how hard it is for a breeder to let puppies go to new homes...I'm sure you worry constantly about all these babies.

I know how difficult teenagers can be....I honestly was a good kid and didn't give my parents any problems, but my sister was a nightmare for a while...it's a difficult situation and can be really hard on the family. Another reason I don't want to have kids..too much to deal with.

Keep us updated on Sam. I really was worried last night...I was laying in bed trying to go to sleep and wondering which one of your babies it was, what happened, and if he was going to be okay. And I felt bad for Dee because I knew she had to be worried sick too. I hate to see babies hurt or sick :( I just hope he makes a full recovery

I can't say that i was a good kid but i wasn't as bad as my daughter though.
Our 16 year old daughter is amazing she is just the opposite from her sister and i am so happy about that! Our oldest daughter is one of these that believe the world revolves around her and if you don't have money then she wants nothing to do with you and no matter what happens she is never at fault for anything. There is alot more to it than that but it give you a general idea of how she is.

And i feel so bad for not giving anymore details but i was in such a hurry to get back to him see usually no one is there at the vet at night but being that i have a friend there with keys who comes in and cleans kennels she let me in and sit there with me as long as i wanted whenever i wanted so it was really great i knew he wasn't alone because i was there with him and i feel like such a a$$ for not getting a hold of Dee about it but i honestly just wasn't thinking all i could think about was Sam and i know how bad of a mom that makes me sound to because i wasn't even thinking about the kids but i knew they were at home safe with their dad thank you for your prayers i honestly believe that it is all the prayers that is making him recover way faster than what the vet expected

I'm so glad that Sam is home and in your arms. Murfee jumped out of my hubby's arms when he was just several months old. thank goodness he was ok. In fact, the other day he squirmed backwards out of my arm....scared the living daylights out of me!!!! He was a little wobbly for a few minutes but was ok. I will keep him in my prayers for a speedy, total recovery. Also I will keep you and your daughter in my prayers.......been there, done that:eek: Thank goodness mine is now 33 and my very best friend in the world but I wouldn't live over those teenage years for all the money in the world.

Prayer's coming for your Sam to be good as new in another day or so.
What a scare that was for you.
I am sure your daughter is suffering and sorry in her own way. The only
consulation is one day she will be going through what she is putting you
through. Hope that helps in some small way to put a smile on your face.

ahhh, i am so sorry!! i had that happen once with my bell. she jumped from my arms, we went straight to the hospital, she got checked out and vet said she had a small concussion... i know exactly how you feel... well, im glad your baby is doing better.. sending prayers for sam's recovery!!

so Glad to hear your furbaby is ok,I had a teenage daughter that was like that now she is 21 and a mother herself and has totally changed.

I'm so sorry about Sam, I think you reacted like any mom would, taking care of your baby first and then updating, I would have done the same thing.

Glad your baby is ok. You must have been terrified. Accidents do happen, I'm sure everyone has learned something from this.

I just came across this thread...Mary i am SO glad he is okay!!!

My friends look at me like I am nuts when i tell them to site while holding Gino. And this is exactly what can happen when one doesnt listen.

You did exactly what I would have done. Ramsey is a teapot and is going to be 3 years old. I still worry when he jumps of the bed or out of my lap. Send him kisses and hugs from us all!

oh, I can totally relate to how you feel...Maggie had a broken leg when she was less than a year old because my daughter "dropped" her...well...maggie wanted down and it just happened. my daughter was younger than yours...but she did feel really bad about it and now she is not allowed to pick maggie up.

unfortunately, it was a hard lesson learned...but it was a lesson learned.,...for all of us.

no, it was deleted. I saw it...read her original post...then came to this one. I'm sure it was a heated thread so it probably got deleted.

I don't know what all was said...but I think it is just very important that we all be thankful Sam is ok. and realize that we all react differently to stress and emergency situations.
