Thoughts on This place I spoke to the guy who runs this website and he told me he is more then happy to show me all of his puppies and where they are raised.. Tell me what yall think http://newyorkiesoflouisiana.com/ |
I personally think all those puppies look sad!:( Why are there so many and I do not like how he breaks down their pricing at the bottom of the page by their weight!:thumbdown (JMHO) |
I am curious also as I already have a fav.as I am looking for a girl and the prices are good.they are pet quality though I can see that but otherwise I like.would love to see the parents as I want a silk coat Hey do some of those pups look like they can be a regleg?? |

Mr Allen is a very sweet Man we spoke for a good little bit on the phone I also have the one i want picked out and evrything( I hope its not the same LOL).. but i wanna know what my fellow YTers think.. please keep in mind all.. I am not looking to breed .. Just a little brother for Mi |
He has a lot of puppies and most have ears down and do not look like a good representation of the breed. JMO |
JMO but I don't like the way the puppies look, to me I get the impression that they may be coming from not so great conditions. I also don't like that the refer to them by number. And the health guarentee isn't worth anything Quote:

Quality wise, these pups are at the very low end of the totem pole!! Looks like they are sold at 8 weeks of age. Thats a little too young. Not much of a guarantee: it protects the breeder mostly. APRi registered: not good in my opinion. I would keep looking!!!!! |
I see huge red flags on that website. The first one is that he lets the puppies go at only eight weeks. That violates the YTCA rules which require breeders to keep Yorkie puppies until they are at least twelve weeks old. 8) All puppies leaving the breeders possession will be a minimum of twelve (12) weeks of age to facilitate adequate socialization as well as appropriate emotional and temperament development through interaction with siblings, dam and other dogs. He registers the puppies with APRI which is one of those "alternative" registries that are a piece of paper only. They are one of the registries used by puppy mills and backyard breeders. |

I personally wouldn't purchase my pup there. I dislike how they price on weight. The puppies don't all look quite right to me. 8 weeks is too young to go to their new home. JMO. |
Looks like a broker. |
Oh well gues il be lookin else where.. Just wanted to know what yall thought about it... As far as the prices being on the size 90% of the places you look you pay for there size thats JMO.. |
:thumbdown Such a sad place...sad puppies...big ears...short hair...long noses and legs.... |
these are very poor quality puppies. I only saw one that I even thought looked nice. a little girl. |
My thoughts... "We breed a pet grade yorkie that is between 4.5 - 7.5 lbs" No breeder should be striving to breed "pet grade" dogs...they should be striving to breed great examples of the breed. However, to them for striving to breed healthy sized dogs and not tinies. "Our puppies are available to go home at 8 wks" 8 weeks is too young to go to their new homes. The YTCA requires reputable yorkie breeders to keep puppies until they are at least 12 weeks. Puppy Page: They have a LOT of puppies for sale from several different litters. Red flag :thumbdown Reputable breeders do not have that many litters a year...they certainly don't have 4-5 litters ready to go to new homes around the same time. Several litters for sale at once means LOTS of breeding dogs. Also, I'm sorry but these pups do not look well-bred at all... "Each litter of puppies is registered through APRI" I know, it is just a registry and isn't really that big of a deal for a pet...but I personally wouldn't buy from a breeder that didn't have AKC registered dogs..just my personal preference. I also don't like that they don't show their breeding dogs on their website...usually not a good sign. This is not a breeder that I would buy from |
There are just so many that it appears to be a puppy mill and I wonder wonder about their living conditions. I think you should be able to find a male with a similar price if you look at breeders in Iowa or Minnesota. You would have to pay shipping but personally I think getting a puppy from a home where all the dogs are raised with the family makes for a better puppy than those that are only for breeding and spend their lives in a crate. |

You should contact these breeders..don't know anything about them other than they are YTCA members. It might be a good starting place Ju-Gene's Gene and June Gorrondona Kenner LA 70065-4529 (504) 443-4286 Jugenes1@aol.com P Jon-An's Cookie Rogan Harahan LA 70123-4426 (504) 737-1888 (504) 952-9326 JonAnYorkies@cox.net |
Sorry if this is a dumb question.. but is it normal for puppies to have ear mites?? |

You need to get the puppy to the vet and get medication for it. |
Sully never had them, I just asked because it mentioned that the puppies on this website had received treatment for them... |
Maybe this was a typo, but did anyone else notice that some of the puppy pictures said that the picture was taken in Jan of '07, but the puppies were not available until Nov or Dec of '07? Makes me wonder if that was an old picture that they were using to sell some more pups! Hmmmm....Curious! |
I did notice the dates, but thought maybe they were a typo...but not anymore. I'd run from this breeder.:thumbdown |
Seems puppy mill-ish to me. First, look at how many puppies he's got. The whole pricing precisely on weight and weighing them to the hundreth of a pound reeks of greedy to me. Also, he ID's them by numbers only...wow. No names?? I've never seen that before. He also lets them go at 8 weeks. |

most puppies don't look like yorkie puppies at 8 weeks should look. they probably are purebred, though. there are also wayyyy too many litters. i wouldn't buy from this guy if i were you.. |
Did anyone else notice How many of them had their ears down? I mean they are cute like that when it just happens (and it can just happen) but they almost seem to be breeding for it or something! |
I am no longer buying from him. I am still looking.. I emailed the 2 breeders that was givin to me on one of the other threads above and I have another lady that I have emailed and she may have a little male for me but nothing that im getting excited over cuz I seem to do that to fast so im waiting to see what happens .. once she gets back to me I wil post so you all can give me some more insite but I do believe this is a good place someone on here told me about her.. So just seein whats going to happen |
My question would be. Why do you need to worm your puppies and treat for ear mites? If the other dogs do not have parasites, then why would the puppies? and if they have these parasites, what other parasites might they be carrying. I would not buy from a kennel that believes they might be infested with parasites. |
