Oh my gosh someone set fire to a petsmart in Md. today. People's dogs were being groomed (it also seemed like they had a rescue group their w/ dogs and cats and maybe a pet daycare) . Anyway employees, customers and passersby ran into the raging fire to rescue most of the pups. They had to break windows to get to some of them (one interview said). One lady came out w/ a giant cage of birds. Some of the people who's puppies were being groomed were freaking out! It was horrible! And they just said it was intentionally set.

Anyway... right in the middle of the rescued dogs (either from a group or the groomers) was a teapot yorkie... it was so cute!

Now...how scared does this make you to get your dog's groomed (especially the ones that are already scared).

How horrible! Poor animals! I bet it was scarry for all the people their too, or the ones with their pets being groomed. Their are some sick crazy people out in our world!!

I'm sure you could google a link under maryland petsmart fire but I just watched it all day on the local news on tv. I think all the people lived but it is my understanding that while they saved a lot of the animals some died. I don't know if it was from fire or smoke inhalation.

I hope they caught the person, and they are dealt with appropriately...dogs are living creatures as well, they should be dealt with as if they were attempting murder on a human being...disgraceful.

omg who would do such a thing to innocent people and animals..i hope they found the person who did this and punish them the way they need to be..being mad is fine taking it out on innocent bystanders and pets is a big NO NO..karma will get this person

I saw that on the news last night. They are stating that it was arson. It was very sad, but the best things was the news kept flashing the camera at the Yorkie who seemed to be ok. I was glad to hear that everyone got out ok - from what the news said - every animal was saved except for a handful of fish.

OMG, what next..

this is so horrible.

I cannot even imagine the people who had loving pets in that store.. I would be so freaking out at that time. I would look like a maniac.

Keep us informed as I for one did not see it on the news. If there is an article let us know.
I hope they catch the person and do him/her justice.
My heart goes out to all the people involved in this fire. And the aftermath.

Educate yourself and buy from reputable breeders or rescue.
