I love Georgie sleeping with me and You would be amazed at how quick he moves when I move. I also have never had him fall off the bed you learn to sleep very still and are careful when they are in bed with you. Georgie was in a crate for 10 minutes the first night we brought him home. He cried the entire time and I got him out and he has been in our bed ever since and I love every minute of it. :D |
Mine have always slept in the bed. I'm no help!:D |

after reading this thread im starting to wonder if there is something wrong with my dexter...he doesnt like to sleep in bed with us!! he is now 6 months and has full run of the house and i figured he would LOVE to sleep in our bed, but he always jumps off and sleeps on the couch in the other room. strange! if you really dont want them in bed with you, you will have to put up with the crying for a while. if you let them out and into your bed when they cry, they will learn that crying gets them what they want. if you dont mind them sleeping in your bed, then get a larger bed that is also closer to the ground! :p |

Now I guess you all know my furbutts sleep with us and the closer they are to us the better we feel. good luck in what you do... :D |
All my dogs sleep in our bed..our VERY small bed lol...I cant even fathom them falling off the bed..once they get in our bed they snuggle up to us so tightly and keep us warm..they do know when we roll over so do they and then they reposition theirselves again too...ours have slept with us since 8 weeks old and they will sleep in their crate too if we need them too for any reason..if you want them back in the crate you are going to have to listen to them cry for a couple hours but they will quickly realize that you arent going to release them for crying...its a trick they have taught YOU lol...you get a milkbone!! :D Dawn |
We slept with Zada and Azrael starting when they were around two years old. They never cried at night though when they slept in their own beds. Of course I never shut the door on their crates either. They had the kitchen area and wee-wee pads down. Then when my husband went to Alaska for 2 months, I put them in bed with me and is where they slept till this past Dec. when Zada got the runs in our bed. That was it for me. :D They went back to the kitchen area until we bought the little pink home and travel bed. I put nice soft thick blankets in it and cover them over with a sheet at night. It's at the end of our bed. Now at bedtime they run to their bed and jump up and down wanting to get in it. Now we are all happy. :D |

Sorry, can't help you either. The girls sleep with me, it they have to get up at night they just give me a little kiss on the nose. I can't sleep without them anymore, I'd toss and turn all night without them. |
while ali was away at the weekend, i let chip sleep with me :embarasse hehe, now that she is back, we want some alone time, but chip keeps jumping out of his draw, and trying to get up on the bed, if we ignor him, he just keeps doing it, need a bit of advice here too, i dont mind him sleeping on the bed, but ali doesnt want him peeing on it thats the only problem we have with it |
they won't roll off the bed, well at least my boys never did! They went in, went under and were out! I worried about rolling on top of them but you dont do that either, you just know not to... somehow in your sleep you know not do that. However if you want to put them back in the crate, put a blanket over it and a ticking clock inside along with another blankey! They will be fine! :) |
Think we have decided to keep them in bed with us :) |
