I completely agree. To be honest, it's kind of creepy. :thumbdown WHY on earth would someone want to mount a Yorkies head like that? It's really disturbing. It gave me chills (in a BAD way).

I understand why people are disturbed to see a yorkie head mounted but everyone is acting like the seller yanked a yorkie of the street, decapitated it and is now selling it on ebay...most people that sell antiques on ebay find them at estate or auction sales and resell the items on ebay. I dont think HE is a sicko for selling it. I am sure he just came across it at one of his sales and put it up on ebay. Obviously collectors of taxidermy items are interested in it for whatever reason they are into taxidermy. I find stuffing any animal repulsive but I dont run around peoples house with deer heads on their walls screaming "sicko" even though I find it offensive. You dont need to buy it nor look at it...we dont even know the story behind this item and why it was mounted. Like someone else stated..people DO have their beloved pets stuffed..

whatever, to each is own... someone somewhere had to have it done,
it just didnt appear. we are on a pet lovers site, what responses does

You are definitely right. It is indeed disturbing to look at, but we don't know the story behind it.

I would never get my beloved pets stuffed...

I do not think I would bare one of mine looking at me from the wall...I prefer, them going to Yorkie Heaven with their little heads attached.

Personally I find this very disturbing. It is very hard for me to see this and not image it being my own baby's head that is stuffed and mounted.

Regardless, he will have to take it off because it IS against ebay policy:

Animal pelts and skins: Animal parts, including pelts and skins from endangered species (such as leopards, tigers, cheetahs, jaguars, sable antelopes, mountain zebras, and Hartmann mountain zebras) may not be sold in interstate commerce and therefore are not permitted on eBay. Animal pelts and skins from non-endangered species (for example, non-protected species of zebras, coyotes) may generally be listed on eBay, if not in violation of the seller's specific state laws. However, because prohibited by federal law, no sales of any item that contains cat or dog fur will be allowed.

The best way to report this is to scroll to the bottom of the link I posted above and click "Report listing violations". This will report the listing as being a violation of this specific policy.

I'm just now seeing this...all I can say is WOW! I really don't understand some people. I'm pretty sure if I inherited something like this it would be going straight into the trash, not on ebay!

That is so sick. Even if someone loved their yorkie so much they wanted it stuffed after it died to keep it with them, I don't see how anyone could be comforted by looking at the severed head of their beloved pet!! Yes things have changed, and not always for the good; but there is no period of history where the severed head of a little dog would have been considered appropriate. I hate stuffed animals of anykind; but I have family members and friends that have deer, elk, abear, and even a fox stuffed in their home. I am willing to bet that a mounted yorkie head would be over the line for them TOO. There is a reason we put dogs and cats above other animals. They are so much a part of our family lives that they truley become part of our family. So sad:(

Personally, I want to remember my beloved pet they way they were, and not hanging on my wall.

That is true that they are not allowed to sell stuff birds ect on ebay, so I agree, I dont think it is pemitted to sell this stuff head.

Yes he can sell stuffed birds if he meets the restriction requirements which it seems he does..but I dont think he can sell the yorkie due to it being animal fur which ebay doesnt allow to sell but since it is a taxidermy item they may allow it...if they havent removed it by now they probably wont...

I thought the same thing. Once reported eBay is very quick to pull auctions which violate their policies.
