I think you're right.

This kind of thing is not for me, but taxidermy itself is an artform. =I= wouldn't want something like that, I would find it creepy, but like you said about it being an antique--this guy did not make this himself.

Exactly.

As long as it wasn't an endangered/protected species taxidermy listings are allowed on eBay.

I know someone who had her cat taxidermied after her death. Not head mounted, but curled up sleeping. I thought it was creepy...but to each their own.

This seller didn't even have this taxidermy done...

I agree that it's really gross and odd, but I honestly don't see the difference between this and any other taxidermy (which I'm sure some YTers own).

I think it was just the shock of seeing a yorkie mounted like that. Things WERE different then. It's just hard to imagine someone trying to sell something like that NOW.

being put on a plaque.. and whether its 108 yrs old or 508 years old,
