Mary - You did what many people would not take the initiative to do! It is far easier to 'feel bad' for the pups and the conditions that they lived in than to act on it. Not only did you rescue Max, you rescued all of the others as well. Don't ever feel guilty because you got Max under these conditions...feel proud that you did something wonderful for all of them. Hugs to you and Max!! |
Mary, I'm very proud of you for telling your story and for shutting down this horrible place. I do hope you stay. |

Omg you guys it is so hard to sit here and right this my hands are shaking and the tears are rolling i can honestly say i don't remember a time that i have ever felt so loved by so many wonderful people you guys are amazing and i would be lost without you :ghug: hha "Now that makes a lot of sense, they show you at first, and then turn around and blacken your face..??" That wasn't me sitting in the chair talking it was a rescue group worker even though i was told that none of them could/would talk to the news and that is why they needed me  |
Mary - {{{hugs}}}} Thank you for rescuing Max |
Mary, you certainly are a good person. You have a concience and that means you care. It's obvious in your story. It is understandable why you were afraid to tell the truth about Max. It's happened more than once, people getting blasted for purchasing their puppies from BYB and Pet stores. You saved Max from that horrible life and I can understand why the other's have haunted you. You did a wonderful thing coming forward and doing everything you could to get her closed! Be proud of yourself for doing what you could to help those remaining dogs and the furture one's if she were not stopped. I am proud to call you my YT friend. I have learned so much from this site as well. Your not the only one nor will you be the last to purchase a pet from one of these terrible people. Buddy came from a pet store. However he was clean and healthy. One of the lucky ones. I knew nothing about BYB or pet stores either. I found this site later and feel blessed to be part of it now. Hold your head up high girl. Be proud of yourself. You saved many and gave Max a wonderful, loving home. |
Dont beat youself up....sounds like you have a good, loving heart, and by coming clean that proves it in my book. Im glad Max is better and now you can enjoy him. You should be proud of yourself that you rescued him and then took action to protect the ones left behind. Hats off to you.... |
Puppy Mill babies need love too... I think it's great that you came clean and told the truth, but I think YT'ers would rather someone save a puppy than to let him or her die. After all you saved Max's life and you know he loves you and we do too! :) Everything will be a okay! |
Mary, it's alright. You did a brave thing. We are all proud of you for turning that lady in. Now maybe those other babies have a chance of finding a great forever home, with lots of love and care. Please stay here with us. We all want you to. :) Darlene :animal-pa :animal-pa :animal-pa |
Hun, don't beat yourself up, there are a lot of people who have no idea that these types of breeders are out there, you saw a dog in a desperate situation and your heart told you to save him....I could never fault you for that....that's what a caring, loving, compassionate person would do... As for concealing the "whole" truth, that's perfectly understandable if you where afraid of rejection, criticism, or that you just felt you did something "wrong"....your fears are also understandable considering these kinds of breeders are loathed on this site, and rightly so....when you know better you do better..you just didn't have the knowledge then....but there was a lot of good that came out of this...... You saved your dear Max....and you shut this horrible, horrible, place down....for that my dear you did a wonderful thing!!.....you should feel very proud of yourself!!.... I'm quite proud of you!! |

I think you should just be thankful that things happened as they did. You have given little Max a wonderful, warm, clean and loving home that he might not have ever had the chance to have if it weren't for you. And now because of you, the other dogs have a chance for a wonderful life. Hopefully the breeder will be arrested and put out of business as well. I feel you should be commended for what you have done. We all come to this forum to learn from one another and to be a part of a group and become friends. There shouldn't be any bashing or lashing out at others especially in a case like this. You have many friends here and we're here for you and little Max. Be proud of yourself...you did what you felt was right and that is your right. Glad to hear you and Max are doing well. |
Mary, its okay, you did the right thing..no worries! Your story was on WISH TV! Way to go!!! Thats the station I always watch news on. I used to do Karen Hensel's airbrush tan at the old Salon I worked at LOL |
OMG, you should never think your a bad person. You did a wonderful thing turning her in to the authorities. And to go on television for the sake of the dogs.. that is pretty wonderful of you.. Many of us have made our mistakes on where we have gotten yorkies.. and to not be able to leave max behind just shows your compassion.. and now he is looking so much better and I am sure he will love you more then the baby we get from good breeders.. for I am sure he will never forget the dirt he lived in and the lice and mitts that hurt him so much.. I think you have been wonderful on this.. more then many would do knowing your name is out there.. I see they showed your face, then another was not.. I wonder why they did not take your face out, and just show the yorkie.. pooh's mum |
ahhh I understand you feeling that way, but please don't be too hard on yourself, I'm sure nobody here is going to judge you after telling the truth. Everybody makes mistakes and even more when ignorance is in play. So, cheer up! you did the right thing. We want to here! we're family :) |
