oh and to add one more thing...to each his own...but remember ethics play a big part in everything...too bad some don't have strong enough ethics where it be in showing, breeding or even everyday life such as the workplace, marriage, raising kids.... Glad I know I can live with myself and have a clear conscience in my breeding practices...not saying most on this thread doesn't have it either but if the shoe fits.... |

Oh well, I am done with this thread. Good luck to the OP in whatever decision you make....Morkie or not. :) |
I know, I raised 3 kids(all turned out very well), now, I have 2 g-kids, and a hubby of 31 years..and if I bred mixed bred dogs, I would still have a clear conscience, but, now, on the other hand, if I bred purebred dogs, and maybe charge $2000 and up, I probably would feel pretty bad about myself.. Totaly agree and I thought great breeders did not do it for profit they breed for the love of the breed .I think alot of them worry about designers because it takes money away from their pocket book and then they cannot get those outragous prices that some of them charge, or just a profit whatever they charge. To the OP please post a pic of your new baby whatever you decide to get. We all love babies no matter what they are.Even adults if that is what you decide to get. |
I sleep pretty good at night. I've bred Yorkie, Maltese and yes Morkies for over 6 years and always, always, always had a waiting list for morkies, even if they weren't going to be available until into the next year. Not that my pure bred Maltese and Yorkies weren't beautiful pups, just that so many people desire the morkie, they still get a toy dog but at a more reasonable price. I've retired two of my maltese now so there won't be many more morkie litters but I've always been proud of all my pups and always will be.:D |

I sleep pretty good too as I stated but charging that much is something I don't have to worry about :) so again I am happy with my beliefs and ethics :) |

Sorry, when I looked at it this way I had to laugh. Not stated in a mean spirted way . Just looking at that post from a different view. I know it's silly, but the thought made me laugh. By the way, I own two purebred dogs with papers, but I like Morkies, too. |

But....my belief is...if they took it out of context then maybe ethics should be reevaluated? I'm not talking about you :) I think we've spoken in PM's and I like you and we have come to the agreement to agree to disagree :) I am passionate and I will not apologize for that :) I treat my dogs as I would my human child they are all gifts from God so with that everyone knows how I feel and I will leave it alone :) Donna Bird Brooklynn's Yorkshire Terriers |

1 Attachment(s) I have a Morkie named Sarge. He looks exactly like a yorkie but that was purely luck...They are pretty unpredictable in appearance. I attached a picture of him, he's full grown now at 4 lbs. |
