Anyone have a shorkie?
 
***First and foremost I want to say I do not condone or endorse cross breeding..I just happened to rescue a shorkie (shih tzu/yorkie)***

Does anyone here have a shorkie that they would like to show off for me? Id love to see pictures!!

Yup, my mom does. She was a rescue as well. She's about 6 1/2 years old...:)

The last one was her as a puppy. :p

Teddie Bear, we just call her Teddie...I named her when I was 16...lol ;)

we're supposed to. My mom adopted a little dog from my cousin and she's supposed to be a Shorkie but she looks and acts exactly like a s**t tzu. My cousin purchased her online for like $1600 and she totally got taken. Ali was only supposed to weigh 3lbs full grown and blah, blah, blah. It's my cousin's own fault for purchasing her on impulse. She only had her a few months (2-3) when she decided she didn't want to deal with her. She was kept in a kennel the first 5 months of her life. So sad, but now she's a spoiled little princess and she loves every minute of it.

OMG she looks so much like our old dog Basil! He was a lhasa poo. He passed 3 years ago. Let me go try to find a picture.

Well shoot, this computer only has a few pictures of him and he's shaved down in them. He looked much more like your mom's when he had a coat. He was a sweetie. RIP Basil!

Just thought Id post pics again of our little shorkie rescue...Pixie is the name she came with but I dont know if she will keep it just yet..we are trying names out..

OMgosh....she's ADORABLE!!! Congratulations! She does look kind of like a Pixie, LOL. But she'd be cute with any name. Bless you for rescuing!

Aww he does! We've had about 3 people tell us that she reminds them of their Lhasa...several people have cried! :eek: She doesn't have Lhasa in her at all though...I guess she just turned out like that lol. I helped raise her, she's our big baby...I just love her to death! :D

We saw a baby Shorkie tonight at Petco!!
 
.......... and she was simply stunning.

They just got her today @ 12 weeks old. (Remember I have a Shih Tzu and a Yorkie and consider them the best two breeds for two totally different reasons.) She had the sweetest Shih Tzu face with the Yorkie coloring and hair texture. They said she was expected to be between 5 and 7 pounds. She had the most beautiful puppy face ever. Her name was Chloe and her new family was obviously smitten with her. :heart to
