Mine also hate the blow dryer. What seems to help is for me to lay the blow dryer on a towel on the counter and have it FACING them. I then sit on the toilet  with one of them in my lap on a towel and dry them and comb them. They feel better when the dryer is 'somewhere else'. |
I use a washcloth for Teddy's face because he also doesn't like the face getting wet (or any other part of him for that matter, but he's getting better) He used to do the reverse sneezing thing and then the groomer told me to try the washcloth trick. He tries to eat it sometimes but he doesn't reverse sneeze anymore. It just takes a little longer to get all the soap off. Good luck ! |
Funny you should ask because right about now I look as if I got in the shower with my clothes on!!! LOL, this is Cody's 2nd bath, I've had him just about 2 weeks and since I have him do potty outside, his face/paws get wet when he walks and sniffs the grass. I do his body first, then work on his head and face. LOL looks like a huge rat!!!!not so cute when wet. LOL!! I talk to him and praise him for being such a good baby and he calms down alot!! I am looking for a good shampoo, one that actually leaves a good scent, I am using some crap I bought from Petco, 4 paws tearless shampoo? Smells nice while in the bottle, doesnt smell at all once its on Cody. Any suggestions? |
I can't stand it when they look at me with that "Mom why are you doing this to me face?" They don't mind the blowdryer. They're so cute afterwards when they rub themselves all over the floor. It's as though they're saying, "Yeah, we're cutie pies, try to catch us now!" |
