Is this normal Just wondering:confused: My lily has her fair share of odd habits but this one intrigues me, when she eats she takes the food out of the bowl puts it in the floor one piece at a time and then eats it. At first I thought it was weird but recently she sits at the bowl and wines she will not eat unless I take the food out and put it on the floor. Is she just training me or could their be an issue.:scratches |
She's just training you ;) |
martini does that once in awhile when she really isnt hungry she takes her food and hides it she starts scratching like shes digging and hides it so no1 can take it from her. yet shes the only dog in the house lol go figure |

See is training you...not sure if you want her to get that fincky so be careful.>>These stinkers can really work us over. |
Lucy does this. I refuse to pull it out on to the floor so she has trained the cat to do it for her...He pulls it out of the bowl and she eats it  |

I have one that paws at the plate and scrapes the food on the floor and then eats it. Some of mine will actually take a mouthful of food from the kitchen and bring it to the couch in the living room to eat it. Strange babies. |

My yorkies do that also |
LOL. I think it's just a Yorkie thing.:) |
Alphy will run grab a bit run to the living room eat it run back get a bit and back to the living room. Sometimes he'll just stand there, but his food usually has to be somewhere in the vicinity that I am in. My Max used to bring his food out one bit at a time set it on the floor and then eat it. It's funny. |
When Jamie was eating kibble he would put his paw in the bowl and knock the kibble out on the floor and eat it. Well I switched him to raw yesterday and when it was in the bowl, he wouldn't eat because he wasn't going to rake it out with his paw. So I took it and put it on a plate on the floor and he gobble it up. He's not trying to work me because he would get the kibble out himself and I'm figuring if it wasn't wet and cold he would get the raw out of the bowl too. Maybe his bowl is too deep or maybe he doesn't like getting his nose it... who knows? LOL! |
