| No Bark?? I have a 6 month old male, and have had him for just a little over a month. I got him from a friend of a friend of a friend. He is an absolute joy. I am not really complaining, but he doesn't bark. He will act like he is going to, but nothing comes out. Has anyone ever heard of a dog that doesn't bark? |

| Roxy doesnt bark a lot... Only when she hears the treat bag rattle and she thinks she's not getting some.... But its better to be safe than sorry is what I always say... Some dogs don't bark because they have hearing problems... As long as he is responding to you in other ways... and you're sure he's not deaf... then don't worry about it... And if you're still worried get him a check up and tell a GOOD vet your concerns... If they're good, theyll listen to you and check it just to make you feel better and let you know its all okay... Meaning theyll check hearing, ear drums, vocal cords, all that.

| Mommasbabyroxy, Thanks for your reply. I have thought of that too, and I don't think he has a hearing problem. |

| Well thats good... he might just be nervous, or he might just not be a barker... Like I said, Roxy isnt... And she didnt really bark too much until she was about 10 months. And she still doesnt bark that much... But like I said, if youre really worried about it, which I wouldnt be... take your baby to the vet just for a checkup... tell them your concerns, so that they can clear your mind of any doubt.

| Can't Say That Well, I can't say Johnny's not a barker. He will bark and growl at the birds and squirrels in the yard from his view out the window. When I'm upstairs taking a shower, I can hear him barking and growling at who-knows-what and he barks and growls at the TV during certain commercials. He wasn't much of barker or growler when we first got him at 3 months old but as he's grown, so has his voice. Barker or non-barker, I just find him adorable.

| Lewis is almost 15 months old and does not bark. He never has since I got him at 5 months old. He will growl and make noise, just not bark. I am sure your pup is just fine. I would take him to the vet incase you are worried. I did take Lewis, and nothing is wrong with him. Lewis is just not vocal, nosey yes, but just not vocal |

| Angel is about a year and a half and she rarely barks or make much noise at all. The first time I heard her bark, I looked around to see who else was there. lol...her bark is very deep, she sounds like a roitweiler She is only 3 lbs. As long as the vet check is ok I really wouldn't worry about it.

| Welcome to YT! Remi is not a barker either. He did not bark much until he reached a year old. Now he will bark if someone comes to the door, and oh, if he sees another dog he does not know he will keep barking until corrected. So we went from no barking to having to shake a coffe can with coins in it so that he will stop. This does not happen very often but we want him to be Quiet when we ask him to do so. Lots of good luck with your pup! Enjoy being a member of YT! |

| I'm on my fifth Yorkie, all of them Barked and yapped at anything that moved. The one I have now hardly ever barks, she was at least 5 month's old before she barked at all. She'll make little growly noises, but barking isn't her thing. She's as healthy as they come. I'm actually over the worry and enjoying it |
