My heart is breaking for this sweet little life lost.

And I am utterly bewildered by this so called pet owner. Bless your heart for the love and care you are providing. It is more than evident that if it wasn't for you, there would be no puppies for the stud's owner, or to sell.

Please make sure you let the stud's owner know, so that this woman never has the opportunity with another pup to use one of her dogs again.

It sounds like she has abandoned her responsibility on taking any care of the pups, just like she abandoned the momma dog.
I surely would not be handing the babies back to her to sell.
I just keep thinking of that mother dog looking for something to drink, why else would she end up drown in a bucket. :(
Why was she let out alone, why was she bred, didn't you say she was only 3 lbs. Bless her little heart.
What a mess this lady is.

:eek: I just saw a bucket outside and has water from the rain... didn't know about it because I rarely go outside. My husband is working on our backyard so it's a mess. I don't even want to look at it. I just get upset. but thank you for the thread. It probably saved my babies. :D and future heart break, I cannot imagine:( life without them:( .

OMG!!!!!!!:eek: I agree with you, I am not being mean just you cannot leave your dogs unattended in the backyard period! Poor little mommy yorkie!!!!! R.I.P. :cry:

Maybe go see your local animal shelter and tell them what happened and they can find a way for you to keep the puppies...remove them from her "custody" and in to yours or something..there HAS to be a way to keep her from getting those puppies back..what has she done for them???? NOTHING!! You working around the clock and you get nothing in return..that is ludicris!! I know you are doing this out of the kindness of your heart BUT where is her heart??? She is one deranged person to begin with in my book..breeding a 3 pound baby..letting her outside in an unfenced yard ALONE..and letting you do all the dirty work..shame on her!!

I wouldn't give her any puppies, I would refuse. I would call the lady who she is giving the dog as a stud fee and the other dog, and explain whats going on. I would also call the humane society or animal control people. Whatever it took to not give them back. In my opinon she did abandon the dogs, she isn't providing for them, and if you are caring for them, what right does she have to them? What a HORRIBLE situation. Just makes me so angry, that somebody would let their dead pet sit in a bucket for days because they can't even go look in their own backyard? And then abandon their responsibility to the puppies? GRRR

You know, I didn't think about that when I first read about this story. When the mama didn't come back in when called, didn't they even check their back yard thouroughly for her? The other night when I let Lexie & Lucky out and Lexie didn't come running when I called her (mind you there's snow on the ground and temperature is in the teens), I sent my hubby out there to look for her. Our backyard has an area that goes behind the garage and that's where she was. So seeing this reply got me thinking....yeah, how many days went by before they checked their yard well enough to find that poor dog???? And why didn't they check it thouroughly when she seemed missing in the first place? ugh, that is soooooo sad:(
