| ![]() I have had Roxy for a year now... She is very active, but since it's winter, even though she goes with me everywhere, she doesnt get to be outside for long periods of time, and doesnt get to walk around outside at all. She stays pretty active most of the day, but I can't play with her as much as she would like! lol... I have looked into getting a new Yorkie within a month... I little boy. Roxy is only 2.7 lbs. So I don't want a boy who is too big for her that might be able to hurt her... I think I found a good little boy for her. He is very cute, short little legs, very fuzzy... He's 12 weeks, and he is only going to be between 2.5 and 3.5... I am getting him with AKC papers and full breeding rights for 650... Which I know is a good deal. I am just so scared ... I know he has no health problems... I know he is just a little bundle of sweetness... I am just still having reservations... I guess its like when you become a new mother and you ask yourself "am I going to be a good mom"... I know I do very well with Roxy, and she grew up with a bunch of other dogs, and I know she misses romping around with the puppies she was used to playing with... She gets so excited when she sees other dogs at pet stores. I have a good amount of money... But... I'm just scared because right now, I am having a bit of a money crisis... I have a handicapped sister, and taking care of her has been taking a toll on me. I know that bringing another baby into the house will make me & Roxy a lot happier, and I have more than enough for vet bills, its just right now these next few months I feel like I kinda have to strap until this blows over in 2 or 3 months... But my puppy will be gone by then... (they already call him Chompers) cause I already said I wanted him... They are really nice, kind, thoughtful ppl... Any suggestions on what I should do???

| ![]() Only you know if you are going to be able to hand a new puppy, both financially and time-wise. If you can handle it, go for it. But if the time isn't right, then wait and another puppy will come along. Just curious - You aren't going to breed Roxy are you?

| ![]() The little boy I got, who was suppossed to be 2 1/2 pounds is now 7 1/2 pounds...just fyi, you never know. But I will say I personally think dogs need a playmate. My two are totally like brother/sister. Play together/fight/care for eachother. They sometimes just lay there and kiss eachother.??? Best of luck with your decision.

| ![]() I'm in the mind set that dogs need a dog sibling/s. As far as when to get a new puppy. If you don't feel like it is the right time for you to get a then maybe it isn't. Really only you can make the decision

| ![]() MyFairLacy... I understand your concern... and the answer is simply...NO! I am not going to breed her... She is too tiny!!! Plus, she is my little baby and if anything ever happened to her, I'd go insane!!!!!! lol So NO breeding... she is too small... However... I thought about maybe using him for breeding in the future since he is going to be so small... Probably in about a year i might think about getting a larger Yorkie girl, around 5 or 6 lbs, that way it will be safe to breed her with the new one, as long as he IS about 2.5 to 3.5... I am pretty sure he will be. He is very small right now compared to his siblings. I also agree in them having a playmate/brother/sister. I feel like Roxy is very happy now, but I feel like that would complete her life having a brother or boyfriend... lol. NOT A 'FEEL LIKE MAKIN' LOVE' BOYFRIEND THOUGH! LOL

I would love to get Lacy a little sister but I'm most likely going to have to wait another 3 years until I'm completely done with school. I think she'd love having someone besides the cats to play with

| ![]() MyFairLacy... lol... I actually edited my post because I didnt want it to seem like I was yelling at you... I just wanted to get my point across that there was no way I'd ever think of breeding her... but after I read it, it came across as being mean to you, which i didnt mean at all, so I edited it... lol... Please accept my humble apologies if it sounded like anything besides concern for my baby's health...
