Ok, charlie was walking all over me an he put his paws on my nose. I had smelled his feet before, i guess, but i couldn't put my finger on what they had smelled like. Then it hit me. They smell kinda like FRITOS! Just wondering if your yorkies did too. Just thought that was pretty funny.

Oh yea! I have been calling my boys "FRITO FEET!" since the first yorkie I ever got. I don't know what makes them smell like that but I guess maybe each breed has their own scent. I know that parrots are the same way...

wow after my mom swearing that they didn't i finally got her to smell them and she said and i quote, "wow they do smell like friots!!" lol

LOL!!! I call Sammi Frito Feet alot!!

I had a chow growing up who feet smelled like popcorn...We called her Popcorn Paws all the time :)

Now I'm going to have to smell my Sheltie's feet. Let's hope they smell like bean dip!! If Fiona's smell like salsa, were throwin' a Partay!!!!

I haven't noticed, but will for sure take a sniff when she gets finished digging through the flower bed, looking for frogs. On second thought, I'd better wait until her feet are a little cleaner.

Now I want to go home and smell Roxy's feet. I just have this mental image of Yorkie owners all over the world grabbing their pups, looking around to make sure there are no witnesses, and smellin' those feet!

I have yet to smell my puppies feet, but my cousin (a woman who likes the smell of puppy breath :eyebrow2: ) says puppie paws smell like saltines.

I have thought that for years...Yorkie feet smell like Frito's...people think I am nuts when I say.."don't smell their feet if you are on a diet!!" LOL

Hmmmm, I wonder what Frito's are made of....

I just found out that apparently, Beagles and Boxers also have FritoFeet syndrome. They are made of corn, corn oil, and salt.... So maybe instead of our pups' feet smelling like Fritos, the Fritos smell like Yorkie FEET! :eyetearss

That is sooo funny...Coco has frito feet too. In the middle of the night last night she climbed on my face and when I woke up this morning all I could think about was Fritos..haha

I could never place what Maximus' feet smelled like (kind of like corn chips)...but now that you said fritos..I was like that IS IT!!!!

Haha! I always smell coonsies paws. I think im addicted to the smell. Now that you mention it, it really does smell like fritos LOL.

Ok i have to admit that I thought ya'll were totally off your freaking rockers when I read through this thread. But then...................... I was laying on the couch with preslee and she decided that I was a human jungle gym and............ hot digity.......... You guys aren't crazy and if you are........... Im right there with ya..........

I almost ate Gucci's paws. :rolleyes: I coulndt believe it, you all rite the paws smell like Fritos. Oh my, Im hungry for some fritos now. Im just glad my hubby is sleeping or he will really think that im really nuts, lol. :)

OK, I have 4 dogs and had to go smell all feet (thankfully I'm alone right now...) Indiana the Yorkie does indeed have frito feet, curiously, Montana (Golden Ret), Kansas(Jack Russell) and Hunter (German Shep) do not. No odor to their feet at all!

Of course here on the farm, sometimes our little feet smell like something else. LOL

Wait ! I think she's got it. We need to check with Frito-Lay to see if they made the chips to smell like yorkie feet.

It could be a new diet - when you feel like sitting down with a bag of chips, just smell the yorkie feet? Now, I wonder how they TASTE! -- anyone :D

Ok I cannot wait to go home and smell Mac & Mellies feet. I have to make sure my husband doesn't catch me doing this or he will truely think I've gone insane. I will let you know the result later on.

It's so funny you brought this up. My cousin and her husband have a mastiff and they always say his feet smell like frittos! I have yet to smell Olivia's feet, but I will now. Sillijacki- I've never noticed this with my sister's beagle. I always just thought they smelled like dirt! LOL! I'm a fritto-freak, so maybe after smelling some dog paws I'll be cured of my obsession!

Along with her "frito feet", the top of Poochie's head (between her ears) will smell like another famous snack.... Tostito's! For a long time I called her Tostito-head. I wonder why their little body parts smell so tasty!! :)

Well, now that you guys are talking about smells....lol

My little Buffy sleeps with me all of the time, and most of the time under the covers.

When I wake up and she's next to me she smells like Warm Syrup....makes me think of French Toast. :tongue:

Do any of you smell that on your yorkie :o ????
