Carriers.. I am looking for a carrier for Gizmo, I would like something that doesn't look like a dog carrier but is comfortable for him. With enough breathing room.. He is 4.4 lbs and about 11 inches long.. Any suggestions on some? |

Hm I am not exacly sure what you are looking for. If you dont want to have a dog carrier then a regular purse will work but it wont have those ventilation areas on the side for air. Your baby would have to stick the head out to breath. Again then you wont have the harness security in the bag which is not a great idea especially after hearing so many people telling horrible stories about dogs being stolen right from the purse. Are you looking for something like that? http://www.finepetproducts.com/Charl...er_p/46019.htm |
i have kwiky boo.i think that's how they spell it..not sure..anyway, the bags look just like big purses..not to mention stylish |
I got a sherpa jazzy soho backpack carrier, I really like it. Its softsided and sits on your back so its easy to carry around! Also it fits both my boys and one is 8.5lbs and the other is 5.5lbs. I think they are normally $100 but I looked around online and got it for like $50. Its soooo cute too! Oh yeah, its airline approved to, in case you ever travel with your baby! |
I want a real dog carrier.... and Gizmo's safety is first and foremost.. |
I have this one (Sorry, I can't find my pictures with my dogs in our carrier) http://apparelandaccessories.petedge...CategoryId=242 and this one is cute too: http://apparelandaccessories.petedge...CategoryId=242 Good luck with your search! |

Shana from Tinkerbell Closet have the hobbo bag I love it:thumbup:  ck it out;) from all the one I have that one is my favor one |
Oh I like the red one that has pouches so you can carry your bilfold with you or check book or whatever. I don't like to have to carry 2 things and its always hard to get enough extra pouches. That is a good one. |
Gracie loves her Vera Bradley carrier. We take her shopping at the mall for hours at a time and she is very content. It has a nice thick cushion in the bottom and long enough straps to put them over your shoulder. |

I like Kwigy Bo carriers as well. I also have a Coach carrier, leash, collar set for sale in the garage sale forum :) |
there is one really cute one on sams online BUT i am not a member... bummer |
i have the kwigy bo carrier too http://tinkerbellscloset.com/items/c...ink-detail.htm miss buffey loves it and will snuggle right down and go to sleep :) |
I'm looking for a new carrier too. I love the Kwiggy Bo but I'm torn between the Alyson and the Charlie. The Charlie is leather so it might be too heavy. Then there's the much loved hobo, I love that one too- and the black one is priced great. It's so hard! I would like it to be able to go over the head reast and double as a carseat like I've heard you can do with the Celltei carriers. Does anyone have any experience with that? I have a carseat but it would be so nice to avoid the in, out, in, out we go through with a seperate carseat. |

It's a great size for my little girl as she's only 2lbs 11oz so she has plenty of room inside, i'm not sure it would be big enough for a larger yorkie though. I occasionally use it if i'm shopping and don't want to leave pixie behind, because it looks like a normal bag people tend not to notice its a dog carrier and i love the fake leather croc skin look and colour. I have a pic of pixie peeking out from it.:) |
I really like the Chanel Cambon Reporter inspired Quigy Bo. I've owned 2 authentic Chanel Cambon Bowlers (1 in pink & the other in black) in the past but ended up selling them on e-bay when I had my second child as they weren't large enough to function as a Mommy bag. I felt the Quigy Bos in the store (Paw Palace) yesterday & I liked that they had a nice feel to them. I thought that was a nice way of paying respect to the bags they represent. My question for those of you with the Quigy Bo carriers is how well do you blend in with those when you're out? My concern is that someone will come up and ask me where I got my purse -- and unwittingly out me as carrying my dog around in places they aren't supposed to be. TIA! |
I got my carrier from tinkerbells closet. It is the Soho carrier |

i had both bentley and miss buffey (they both fit comfortably and snuggle each other) in there when i went to wal mart this weekend....all was fine until bentley let out a couple of quick "yips" rofl! it really startled me and i left as soon as i could as i knew i was not really supposed to have them in there  the guy in front of me in line just looked and chuckled :) |

Not at all. It is light and very well made. |
I have the Kwigy Bo Charlie carrier and LOVE IT!!!! Ranger is 4.3lbs and fits perfectly, it is also airline approved and looks like a really nice purse, great quality leather as well. Oh yeah it has pockets too so I don't have to carry a real purse either. Good luck! |
I just got introduced to this site on another thread! I really like there stuff! http://www.petflys.com/carriers.html |
1 Attachment(s) I have a summer weight one & I am about to get this one for the cooler months - my carriers are for my Gizmo (thought it was neat that we both are in TX, have a Gizmo & at last weigh in he weighed 4.4 lbs too funny) |
