My Petco encounter
 

I have always read about other peoples' rude encounters at Petco & Petsmart and wondered what I would really do if I encountered such a rude beast.

Well, I no longer have to wonder.

Saturday we drove to MA/Ct border to pick my DS's GF and went into the Petco in Enfield,CT to pick up Kitty Litter while the gang was getting our lunch at Quiznos.

Milo and I of course can't resist a little walk around the store and encountered a very friendly Scottie--OMG so cute, and a couple other lovely pups and owners.

While waiting in the check out line, the woman behind me drops her bucket of Kitty litter to the floor and scares the crap out of Milo who was on a leash.

I hear her say, none to quietly, "Sorry spaz!" In that sarcastic tone we all know.

Mind you, Thursday/Friday I had been in a complete PMS frenzy and had settled a bit by Saturday, but STILL>

I turned slowly around and can only imagine the look on my face. I looked up into the face of a woman who was 6', (I'm 5'4') about 250lbs and watched as her face quickly went from smug amusement falling and into nervous chuckles.

I held her eyes with mine and slowly said with determination,

"His name is Milo. (take a breathe and add) Spaz."

And turn back around.

I barely heard her breathe behind me as I checked out.

She's just lucky it wasn't a day or two earlier.

That's all I'm saying.:mad:

wat to go:D we have a seldons in our city (pet store) i think its about the same thing dif name.any way i went in there to buy food when i first got tucker plus alot of other goodies.all the dog food bags had a $10.00 coupon off on them except for the one i picked up ofcorse any way the cashier rang it up full price.and i told her all the food witch was eukabana for yorkies.was on sale.she simple said not this bag it dont have a coupon you need to go get a bag with one on it.im like are you kidding me i have all this other stuff
and im not getting out of line.the bag of dog food was $28.00 or i wouldnt have been so up set.i gave her the evil look and simple walked out the door and called the manager the next day and told her about the rude cashier.she just said she was sorry that happened and she would talk to the cashier.like i said to the manager
she should have walked back and got me the bag with the coupon because of her rudeness and stupity you lost a very big sale.and i wont shop here any more. anyway i seen your post and it just had to vent about that day.

Believe me, I had to really control myself with all those raging hormones!

I have learned over the years --- ahhhh aging is beneficial for some things---that careful, controlled, verbations (my own made up word) always pack the knock down punch.

When you throw out the swears and blatant insults, everyone only hears that and no matter the situation, you become the bad guy.

The only rude comment I've ever gotten at PetSmart was when someone looked at McKenzie, said "oh, she's cute, but isn't she just huge"?

I LOL'd because my 4 lb baby is just a giant :p
