I had him with me and hubby the first maybe four or five nights, but he prefered a smaller place. I sell Avon and had a box up there, put some soft receiving blankets inside and he went right down. Before that it seemed he couldn't find the right spot. I wish he was more of snuggler, ah well thanks for sharing |
Both of my girls sleep with me. They both started as little pups. They are very quick to get out of the way if they feel you will roll on them. One sleeps next to me with her head on my pillow and one on the other side on her own pillow until she gets cold, and then she snuggles down under the covers next to my back. I love them there with me. They quickly get in a routine of potty outside, play on the bed, chew their bully sticks for awhile to relax, and to sleep. They are usually asleep before me. Good luck:p |
Since the day I brought Cody James home.... we slept in my mom's bed she has a california king.. and i have a twin. mine of course wasn't big enough for the both of us so we just used mom's bed LOL. and he gotten use to it. he would sleep right up againt my back. or most of the time right between me and my mom and we both still had plenty of room to move without touching him! well NOW. when my mom isn't home he won't sleep in bed w/out his NANA. so we sleep on the couch the days she is away. and let me tell ya.. its not comfy |
Mi has been sleepin in the bed with use sence the day we brough her home.. She sleeps behind our head on inside of our head bord on her own pillow.. When we go lay down she gets to play for 15min then she knows when lights are out its time to lay down... But she gets her moments when she wants to play when its sleepy time |

Mine sleep in their area, as I am afraid to have them sleep on my bed. Callie is fearless and will jump from anything, and Turbo likes to root around on things, so I am afraid they will be hurt just doing what they do. Also, my hubby is afraid of them having an accident on the bed. :( |
Sophie sleeps with us every night. She weighs about 7 1/2 pounds though. At first I was a little worried too, but she seems to handle it well. She seems to take up more room than we thought she would. She has slept with us for about four or more years. She is six now. I can't imagine not having her with us. |
Gypsy sleeps with us and she is 4.4 lbs. When hubby starts to turn over he instinctively reaches out to her to see where she is. They play a little before bed time, wrestling then she goes off down the ramp to explore a little on her own while I usu read. When I call her or turn the lights out she comes and lays down usu snuggling under the cover next to me or Jim. LOL Last night we set up till midnight, 2 hrs past usu bed time. No play for her she went right to laying down and went to sleep. She has a def bedtime. |
Yep, we've got Yorkies in our bed too :D I didn't do this when they were puppies though because I was so scared that either my hubby or I would roll over and crush them because they were so tiny. And yes, I was scared of them also falling off the bed back then. So when they were babies, they slept in their crate with lots of fluffy blankets to keep them warm and a few toys in there as well. My Stedman will sometimes jump off the bed in the middle of the night to chase the cat  but Tatum is too scared of heigths and she wouldn't dare. Our problem isn't so much that we are worried about them falling off the bed, it is just trying to BREATH because they always smother us :p |
BEFORE we had kids...lol mine slept with us.. NOW they want NO PART in the bed. Hmm neither do I:D |
hehe chip sleeps in a draw next to our bed, that way if he needs the toilet he just jumps up and licks neils face or paws at his arm :) sometimes in the morning he comes and sleeps on the bed with which other one of us is still sleeping :D |
Gracie fell off the bed once when she was a puppy. After that, she learned her lesson. She was not hurt. We have pet steps for her to get on and off the bed. She sleeps right at my side, alternating between under the covers and on top all night. So sweet! Holly is still little so she sleeps in a small crate on my bed. |
Daisy, yorkichi and Sam, the boxer, sleep with us unless the kids are home from college - then the kids sleep with their doggies... Daisy has jumped off the bed a couple of times lately- the bed is rather tall - I'm thinkin' about getting a little step or something. Any suggestions? |
Both of mine sleep with my husband and me, we don't allow them to play at bedtime or to get out of beda bed. The first time it's a warning then, into the crate. Each of them slept in the crate just once then learned to be good. ;) |
My Rocco is just under 5 pounds and he has slept with me since the 3rd night I had him and at that point he was around 2 pounds. I to worried about rolling over on him and didn't sleep well because of it but we have both learned to adjust and he seems to sense my movements before I actually move and he will adjust his position accordingly. My husband works nights so I am typically in that giant bed by myself and Rocco is always such a comfort to have next to me. I can't imagine him not sleeping next to me. |
