The Poopanut and I got called bad words So the Poopanut and I went to Pet Supplies Plus this morning. She has been feeling a little jealous with the arrival of Izzy-Belle so even though we had what we needed we spent some time just browsing to give us some more "Mommy and Me" time. I had S'anah sitting in the front part of the cart and we were looking at toys and of course I'm carrying on a conversation with her - usual shopping stuff. Well, this woman walked up and was oohing and ahhing over Susanah. Ok, that's pretty normal too. When she walked up I instinctively picked S'anah up and held her in my arms. I have ALWAYS done that. Guess I am just paranoid or something. I do the same thing if she is walking on her leash - I pick her up if anyone approaches. At this point I would think it would be obvious to pretty much anyone that I am a little crazy over the Poopanut. Well, the lady asked if she could hold her. I very politely told her no, but added she was more than welcome to pet her. She went on to tell me her husband was just a couple aisles over and could she just run her over there and she would bring her right back. Ok, now if I wouldn't even let her HOLD S'anah wth makes her think I'm going to let her walk off with her? You know what she had the audacity to say me? She looked at me and said, "It's just a d*mn dog, get over it you f-ing b*tch!" I was just shocked. I didn't even pay for our things. I just left the cart there and left the store. I am still a little shakey. I think it hurt and bothered me more that she called my Poopanut a "d*mn dog" than the fact that she called me the f b. I just can't believe some people! |

Some people just have no tact... and you have to feel sorry for them.... I'm sorry you had to be exposed to someone so nasty!! :( |
I am sorry that it happened to you. SOmeone was having a bad day eh? |
NO WAY, I think you were very smart to not let her hold her. The first thing that popped into my head was she wanted to take the dog and run. Forget that! |
How rude!!! People are nuts to think we would let our babies be carried away by a stranger. |
I can't believe you didn't say anything back to the crazy broad. It was kind of sketchy of her to ask to take your dog and show her husband on the next aisle. Why wouldn't she call her husband to come over like any normal person would if she wanted him to have a look at your dog. She probably had some unscrupulous intentions and you foiled her plans by refusing so it pissed her off. I would have definitely been shaking from anger and told the stupid crazy ho off. I might have even gone further and complained to the store that the weird woman was harassing me just to embarass the f**k out of her. Good thing you did not comply with anything she asked. Lots of strange people out there. Better safe than sorry even if someone calls you a b**tch. |
Sorry shes got it wrong. In my case it would be a$600 or $1200 damn dog and I wouldnt let anyone walk away with mine either. I think people forget these are not like dogs you get for free at the pound. People steal yorkies all the time |
 some people... Girl let me tell you.. I have been called a nigger....I was in petsmart and a older lady wanted to hold my Dutchess.. I told her no politely too.. She was like you nigger and walked off... and was like I guess. :eyetearss :eyetearss :eyetearss . :eyetearss :eyetearss :eyetearss I get ALOT of people acting like crazy loonies when I go to petsmart.:D |

 Nasty Person!! Glad you stuck to your guns..we can never be too careful with our little ones!! Yorkies get stolen all the time!! |
how RUDE  |
Well you they steal yorkies all the time. People like the small dog and can't afford them and they would take them and think they could get away with it. Sounds like you did the right thing. Good thing you was on your guard. Sorry you had to have someone ruin your day. |
Why?????? WHY NOT.. Im black and thats what I was called.. SO ??? Why couldnt I share my experience..the WAY it happen  "I" Have learned that life isnt fair to ANYONE ..So dont hate.. EDUCATE and HOPE that the WORLD will ONEDAY BE A BETTER PLACE.. :D :D :D |
You are a better person than I am...if it would have been me SHE would have been the one leaving shaking. I never take my babies to petsmart or petco unless my husband is with me because of how often they get stolen (im only 5'1"), and hes crazy about the babies too so she would have had 2 of us to deal with. Some people are just so rude! |

 Well, I would like to say that I would've said something back to that woman and that I would have complained to the store manager. But I probably would've been more like you and ran out in shock! In fact, I probably would've started crying in my car (I'm a crybabay I know I know) Like a previous post said, she was probably up to no good and got mad because you were too smart for her:D |

I DID start crying in the car. I am still a little teary-eyed, and to think that she probably had intentions of STEALING my S'anah just makes me want to cry all over again. I just can't believe her NERVE! Oh, and believe me, now that I'm HOME I can think off kinds of snappy little comebacks for her, but at the time.... |
OMG! I would've said, excuse me, who the (beep) do you think you are, followed by a punch! I really can't believe how rude some people are. She was obviously pist you wouldn't let her hold Susanah, and didn't know how to handle her anger very well. |

Omgosh! Wow! I am just absolutely convinced that some people in this world have gone crazy - I am also convinced the majority of these people hang out at Petsmart. |
I wish I could OPEN a bank and let people withdraw "common sense" ..lol People dont think... and you never know WHAT a person can or will do so you HAVE to be in a Protective state 24/7... |
I always better at comebacks after the fact, too. AND I can cry pretty easily (((hugs))) |

UM not quite! I've never run into that! I see tons of people walking in with their pampered prince and princesses all the time. |
I am sorry that this happened to you...some people are just odd! Here's a story for ya...it didn't involve my dog, but I had something similar happen. When my daughter was a newborn, my mom was visiting from out of state so we took my then 6 week old baby to Babies R Us. I was carrying my baby instead of putting her in the stroller....I always wanted her closest to me. :) Anyway,I had these two VERY VERY scary looking women approach me. They both were EXTREMELY dirty and one acted like she was on something!!! She said that she was the mother-in-law and the other lady was her suppose to be her daughter-in-law....they looked like the exact same age. They both got right in my face and the one that acted like she was on something said, "That's a gorgeous baby...let me hold her!". Ummm, I was shocked so I politely said that she would cry...this lady went on to say,"That's ok,just give her to...I'm going to hold her!" As she is actually reaching for my baby!!! My mom then walked up and the ladies backed away and then said oh well, nevermind. EEK!!!!! You can just never be too careful nowadays. Sad but true. :thumbdown Tammy |
