| Need Your Advice - ASAP I didn't think I would be seeking advice so soon from sending my previous I'm new to the community thread. Quick overview: I have an appt. Saturday to perhaps adopt my baby girl. Here is where I need assistance: After sending my thread this morning, the breeder contacted me and told me that another lady is also interested in adopting my little girl. The breeder wants to know if I would like to leave a deposit. I haven't bonded with Baby Girl in person; however, when I look at her I feel this connection with her. I guess, it would the same if I was adopting her from another State, I wouldn't bond with her until I get her. What are your thoughts? She is a cutie! Thanks in advance for your assistance. |

| She is Sooooo cute. Many breeders require a deposit, so that is not unusual.

| She is a cutie. I guess it depends on how much you want her whether you give a deposit...like maybe you have a back up sweetie.

| I knew that would be required and I have no problem leaving one. I just wanted to make sure that she warms up to me and that we bond. The breeder just called me again. I have my answer I am leaving the deposit and just pray that she will love me! Thanks! |

| I didn't get to pick out Murfee; he was a gift, and we bonded immediately. I'm sure you will too. When do you get her?

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I have not seen a puppy not bond with a loving family if given the right amount of love and attention so you'll be fine I'm sure. Congratulations!

| Many breeders will tell you that to kind of give you a nudge towards buying the pup. Like some of the other posters have said many breeders do require deposits, but if you are going to purchase her tomorrow???? I would think that she would be good on her word to allow you the opportunity to look at her first. Especially if you have an appointment to look at her. |

| I worried about bonding with Jack even after we got him. Some kind of "new parent" fear or something. I was convinced that he would love my husband more and not want anything to do with me, but now I'm the one Jack comes to when he wants to snuggle, he's more cooperative with me a lot of the time. They know they're loved, and they respond to it. It's amazing! She will love you as much as you'll love her!

| Most of the time, the breeders do require a deposit to hold one, but, like Cindy said, if you're going tomorrow or Saturday, then I don't see why you have to give it now..If you sent it by mail, you would be there before the check even got to her. She should have told the other person that someone else has already spoken for the pup(meaning you), and that you are going to look at her this weekend, and if you don't take her, she will call the other lady back |
