Do people think you're crazy?
 
Cause you love your dog so much?

Jackson has clothes and jackets and we love to take him places and I want a stroller, but I know people are going to think we're crazy!

"He's just a dog!" is what I hear all the time.

How do you handle this? :confused:

You don't owe anyone an explanation for what you purchase for your dogs but it's funny that we all give one. I tell them pups need love to and they get cold, eat, sleep & drink just like us. I get more compliments than I do people asking stupid things now. :D

Yes, sometimes people think that I am a little nuts, I embrace it because I Love to Love my dog, and I am a happier person because of him. If that bothers people I am ok with it, I sometimes wonder what is missing in their lives that makes them make such a big deal out how I care for "just a dog." The people that really matter in my life are happy that I am happy and that Copper is so well cared for.

I agree, I get more positive remarks than bad ones. I really don't care when someone says something dumb, I just feel sorry that they will never know the joy of Yorkie kisses, or looking at a little furface that is so damn cute, you have to smile. Even before I open my eyes in the morning, even when I know the day will be a trying one; I have a sweet furbaby kissing me and letting me know I am the most important person in the world. Enjoy your baby anyway you want; noone that hasn't had a yorkie will understand, and those that have will just smile and coo!!:)

Yes I am the crazy dog lady and get comments all the time. I'm actually learning to ignore it :D

I don't worry about it. I love her more than life. I could care less what other people think. Most are understanding and make over her, too. So, there you go!:D

I don't think I am crazy but I am sure there are people out there that would disagree but I don't care. He may be just a dog but he is my dog so I choose to treat him like my dog which may mean that I spoil him a little bit. If he weren't, then he wouldn't be my dog would he?
Those who judge can say and do what they will with theirs and it is your perrogative to do what you will. I personally think your dog/ child is a reflection of you so you can decide however you want to deal with that.

And yes, Jackson is my child. Literally. He is MY child and I'd do anything for him. Yeah, he's spoiled rotten, but he's my baby and I love him. :2hearts2:

I stopped caring what people thought a long time ago. Of course, I'm known as the Crazy Yorkie Lady but to each his own!

Well...yes people think I'm crazy...my own family thinks I am crazy:D but I don't care 'cuz I love my little Murfee. He even has a shirt that says "favorite child"

I think those people are the ones that are crazy.

Crazy for not loving another being.
Crazy for not loving an animal.
Crazy for not loving a dog.
ESPECIALLY crazy for not loving a Yorkie!

Everyone thinks I'm nuts because I'm always talking about my dogs. I could care less. I absolutely love and adore my dogs. I told my husband that if I had to choose btwn him or my dogs I'd probably go with the dogs.LOL:D

yeah they probably think I'm a lil crazy ;) but I don't care. My dogs give me unconditional love, never say mean things to me, are always happy to see me and give me kisses etc. Who else can do that for you?

Too bad the rest of the world isn't crazy like us -

if it was - there'd be NO abused or neglected pets out there. Just lots of well dressed happy dogs walking around with their people ...probably BETTER dressed than their 'people' ;)

I'm definately the crazy dog lady of my friends and family. But I'm the first one they call if they have questions about their animals. I too wish more people felt like we do about animals. I will never understand how someone can NOT be a "dog person". I feel sorry for those people. They are missing out on so much love.

I couldn't have said it better myself.
People don't understand why I don't travel as much or stay away from home for long periods of time and thats ok they don't have to. My dog keeps me home from all nighters and I couldn't be more happy about it!:p A lot of my single friends think I'm insane but really i think it's the other way around:D

I got a stroller this summer, a pink one. Hubby is embarrassed when people see we have dogs in it. He will not push it because it is pink too. I just tell people they are like my kids. They love the stroller ect and I like doing it and that is that. I really don't mind what anyone says because I do what makes me and my dogs happy. Many people just don't understand.

My puppy Jack is 4 months old, so this holiday season he was introduced to the various family. My husband's family...well, they already thought I was odd, so I guess it doesn't really matter. :) At both gatherings, Jack was in either a tee-shirt or a sweater and there was this one particular sister-in-law who was very amused and condescending about it, and rude. She thinks she's smarter and better because she has a college degree and I don't, but she acted like we should just let Jack shiver and be cold. I just wanted to ask her, if you're so much better how come you'd let a puppy be cold? They teach you to be mean and heartless at college? :p But I kept quiet and carried my sweet little puppy around, while her kid ran around screaming like a maniac. If taking care of my furbaby makes me crazy, big WHOOP! :D :D

I find that people enjoy seeing the outfits. In fact, everyone smiles when they see Remi.
If you find you run into those who are negative, don't respond. It's their loss if they don't appreciate Yorkie ways!

By the way, the stroller is a great idea. I have one that looks like a baby stroller and we love to bring it to the beach or just have Remi sit with us on our deck when we read. He is quite comfortable there and loves to lounge with us!

Thats awesome! And soooo true! They're the crazy ones for not being able to care for another living thing as much as we care about our babies! I'm feeling much better now...thanks :)
