Heres what I do cover three sides of the crate. My daughter has the crate up on the same level as her bed. The puppy faces her and she can put her hand in to calm the pup. We have a water bottle (like a rabit bottle) hanging so our baby can have water when ever she wants it. And she gets up to potty once a night. Put a nice blanket in so she can snuggle up to it, baby balnkets work great. I went to a thrift store and got a few for a couple of bucks. Congrats on your new baby! |
First off congrats on your new baby!! Secondly, Parker has slept with me since day one, I never had any problems with him pee'ing in the bed and what not. I guess it all depends on the pup and how your lifestyle is. I stay home so I have a lot of time to train and work with him. If I didn't allow him to sleep with us I would do an xpen as well. That way they can move around freely and not confined to a small area. Welcome to YT!!!! |
Congrats and goodluck! |
These are great for pups who are feeling lonely. http://www.target.com/Comfort-Pals-Real-Feel-Heart/dp/B000FJ7F18/sr=1-3/qid=1199074477/ref=sr_1_3/601-1864916-5064929?ie=UTF8&rh=k%3Acomfort%20pup&page=1 Deana Prestigeous Yorkies |
:wavey: Just wanted to welcome you to YT. Looks like you have already received a lot of good advice on crate training. I'm a believer. It's just work for you - because you too have to be trained :) - best wishes. The most important thing is consistency. |
