| Nervous Nellie? Whenever I take my boy out on a leash to walk down Main Street he gets very nervous. He's runs away from anyone who tries to pet him and he starts panting, which when it is 47 degrees out has nothing to do with heat. How can I help him? He's 8 mos. old btw. |

| Is he overweight at all? Did you give him any water before the walk? Or perhaps carry a small bottle of water with you and offer him some when he pants. See how he reacts after getting some water. Good luck! If he's not out much, it just may take some time for Nellie to adjust to the walks. |

| I am not sure about the panting, but Schatzie used to get pretty nervous around people too. Actually she still is shy and probably would be happier when people didn't come up to her. But atleast now she doesn't bury her face into my arm pit like she used to.

| he is normal weight and doesn't want water when he is panting. The panting is from anxiety. |
