Awwww Judy, I wish you lived in Indiana. I don't have anyone I trust to watch the boys, but I'd trust YOU! So nice of you to keep their mommy updated on how and what they're doing!! Glad Gizmo is doing well with them. Definately time for a sibling!! Have fun!!! |
4 Attachment(s) Tina ate a good dinner, but Tbone only ate one piece and then just wasn't interested. I'm not sure if we fed him too early or if it's just an adjustment thing. He seems fine, just not hungry. I'll offer him some more before bedtime. Tina just now curled up in their crate and went to sleep. We're definitely bringing it into the bedroom tonight along with a couple of doggie beds. We'll see how they decide to sleep. :) Here are some more photos... 1. Little miss Tina 2. Tina again...not sure what that expression is all about, but it's cute! lol! 3. Tbone....claiming as many toys as possible and Gizmo watching 4. All three asleep at our feet. :D (Yorkie heaven for us!) |
Oh..this is great of you to watch Tbone and Tina. Please keep us posted on the adventures of "Yorkies in Waco." :animal-pa p.s. what a good idea about puppy sitting to get the hubby thinking about #2! I am gonna have to try that.....I wan't another, but hubby is saying no.:( . |

I have had the MOST fun reading this thread tonight! |
Dec. 26, 2007 Dec. 26, 2007 We had a great first night! :) We started getting ready for bed around 9pm since it had been an exciting day. We put everyone's jammies on and set up several beds around our bedroom and moved their crate in there also. We made sure everyone knew where the water bowls and potty pads were, so we were good to go! ;) We tried to get little Tina to use the doggie steps up to the bed, but they seemed to scare her, so we put her in her crate and she seemed content. Tbone and Gizmo were on the bed with us deciding where to sleep. At one point, both of them were standing on top of me like they were kings of the hill. lol! Then, Gizmo settled down in the middle of my pillow  leaving me a corner to put my head on. (Wasn't that nice? :p ) Tbone decided to keep my feet warm. John thought little Tina was looking lonely, so he brought her up with us. She was shaking a little (not sure if she was cold or just a little scared) so he put her on his chest and snuggled the blankets around her. She calmed down and fell asleep very quickly. We all shifted and moved some during the night, but mostly kept the same positions. About 4am, it started raining a little outside and Tbone woke up. He seemed a little disoriented, which is understandable. I put him on my chest and it was his turn to shiver a little. I comforted him and then he and Gizmo started to nuzzle each other. When I went to the bathroom, Gizmo and Tbone followed. Gizmo peed on the pad, but Tbone missed. A few minutes later though, he pooped on another pad. yeah!! :D It was a solid, normal poop, so there was obviously no issue from the one yogurt drop he snatched yesterday. Tina was still asleep when I checked, so I left her with John, and Tbone and Gizmo came out with me into the living room to get on YT. Gizmo is asleep beside me on the couch, but Tbone went back to bed. :p :) Now, I'm just listening to the rain and enjoying a little quiet time. I feel very blessed this morning. :) |
I'm so glad the first night went well! They are going to be regular cuddle buds tonight I'm sure! I am so glad you are having a great time and that others are enjoying this thread, because I SURE AM!!!  Tina will sleep all day if you let her :p Hope you have another wonderful day in your Adventures in Yorkiesitting! |
Ahhh Judy how awesome to Yorkie sit.:D It sounds like they are starting to feel a bit more comfortable now and I love that last picture of them sleeping at your feet...that's a cute picture. What a nice Christmas to have all the Yorkies there.....I would love to sit for a YT Yorkie but no one close to me...sniff...sniff...Izzy would love a playmate as she's an only child too (cat peeps don't count..lol). Love how you are keeping everyone posted.....have a wonderful second day with all your furbutts!:D |
Everyone went back to sleep after my last post. :) We woke up around 9am when Gizmo decided to bark at the garbage truck. (Yeah, we didn't get the trash out last night. ) Tbone ate a great breakfast! I was a little worried since he hadn't eaten the night before. Tina also had a great breakfast, but she ate in a more leisurely, ladylike manner. Tbone was actually very good about leaving her food alone (with a few gentle reminders). ;) Gizmo was given his breakfast in the other room, but he didn't eat. He's used to free feeding, so I'm not worried. I think it's just going to be a transition. He eats more at night anyway. Lauren, they really are little love bugs! :) Tbone loves to be brushed too. I can really see the difference between Gizmo's cottony coat and Tbone and Tina's silky coats. It's amazing. We haven't brushed Tina yet because she still seems a little cold, so she still has her jammies on. We're just having a quiet morning. I was hoping to take them all for a walk or at least for some playtime outside today, but it looks like it will be rainy and windy today. :( We'll figure out some fun inside stuff to do though. ;) |

Another reason we're doing this is to give Gizmo some more socialization. I was a little concerned about how he would react to other yorkies in his house, but he's doing really well. Hopefully, when we are ready for another one, Gizmo will react as well as he is now. It helps that Tbone and Tina are such sweeties. :) He was also familiar with them from two previous shorter visits. |
What a great Yorkiesitter you are!! Sure sounds like Yorkie Heaven over there. They all look so happy and spoiled! |
Awwww to cute!! That is awesome that you are yorkie sitting!! They are so cute!! :p I love reading "The Days of Gizmo, Tbone and Tina's Lives".. lol:D |

I'm sure you'll get your chance to yorkiesit, and I'm sure Izzy will love it. At least she has cats around. Gizmo doesn't know what to think of cats yet. We don't have any, but he likes to bark at them if they walk into our yard. :p |
