Wishing Lexie's puppys a happy life Well, amidst the preparations of getting ready for the holiday gatherings, we are also preparing to say good-bye to three of Lexie's four puppies. Halle, my favorite will be leaving with her new family in just a little over an hour from now. She's had our undivided attention all morning and pretty much free run of the house since we got up. There have been tears welling up in our eyes (yep, even my hubbys'):cry8: , but I am certain that her new home will be a good one, and that helps. She will even have a big brother to play with as they already have a 5 month old yorkie. We will also be saying good-by to Spook sometime tomorrow, and Candy will be leaving either Christmas afternoon or the day after. Confident that their new homes will be good ones again, with Candy's new owner being someone I work with. I've asked all of the new owners to please send me pictures as they grow & change and have also included the YT website information/address on the paperwork they will go home with.:yorkietal Hopefully we'll see them join up here. That leaves just Casper still with us. We will get back to looking for a new family for him after the holidays. It has been such an awesome experiance seeing these puppies being born and watching them develop into the sweet puppies they are today. Yorkies are truely the breed for me:yorkiesar and I am so thankful for all of the experiances I have had with them so far and look forward to many many more. Please join me in wishing Halle, Spook, and Candy, happy lives with their new families! |
I wish happy lives for all your babies!!! |
Oh I know this will be hard for you to say good bye but someone will be having a wonderful Christmas. hope you have a very Merry Christmas...knowing your babies are being loved. |
Iam sorry you are sad, I wish the very best for your babies new home, Im sure they will be very loved;) hug for you. |
Hoping your puppies will have long, happy lives. It must be hard on you.:( |
Oh Rose, I'm sad to as I feel like I've been there with you thru it all...I'm going to miss seeing the weekly pictures of them as they grow and hope they do join YT. Look forward to seeing pics of the send off. You sound like you made some good choices for their new homes so that should be a little comforting..but it will be sad to see them go I'm sure. Good Luck and well wishes for all of them!!!! |
I have been there, done that. Watching them grow from tiny little fuzzballs into handsome pups is precious. Watching them leave home is hard, even when you KNOW they have the perfect forever home. Sending hugs :ghug: |
It must be so sad to see them go, but wonderful to know they are going to great homes. I wish the best for them! |
I know it is a sad time for you but just wait!!!!!!!!!! A beautiful little bunder of fur is heading your way to help ease the pain!!!!!!!:) |
I feel your pain.. Finding the right forever home is hard. I hope that your babies will be loved, like you love them, and are spoiled with tons of attention. I would have a hard time letting go if they were mine.. I'd want to keep them all.. If I was unmarried I'd want to grow into a little old lady with a whole bunch of yorkies.. I love them so much.. It's been my favorite breed even since I was a little girl looking through my mom's encyclopedia's and saw my first yorkie all done up in bows.. It was the most beautifulest dog I ever saw.. From that day forward I knew I'd own a yorkshire terrier and now I do.. A yorkie mix and finally a purebred yorkie baby!! :D :yorkiesar :aimeeyork :aimeeyork |
I'm wishing your babies a great life! I hope you get lots of updates, and that it doesn't hurt too much when you have to let them go! |
Saying good-bye is not an easy thing to do....I wish you a very Merry Christmas. May all the babies be spoiled and pampered in their new homes!! |
It's always sad, but exciting to see them go!! Good luck to your furbabies in their forever homes. |
To Yolanda, Dee, and Riddicks Mommy..... 2 Attachment(s) TO YOLANDA: Gosh, I guess you WOULD kind of be right there with me as my pups go since we went through Lexie's & Diva's preganancys & whelping so closely together. I am attaching pics of 2 of the new families (hope they don't mind). The 3rd family (Spooks new mommy), I hope to get from them as he was a Christmas gift so she wasn't the one to pick him up. PIC #1 Halle and her very excited & happy new mama PIC #2 Candy; going to a friend from work - these are her 2 kids ages 11 & 13; happy faces here too. TO DEE: Yes, 9 days and counting down! WooHoo! Even just the thought of him coming soon does help ease the pain. We are sooooo anxious!:D TO Riddicks Mommy: Your love of yorkies sounds like you could be my clone! I too have LOVED this breed since I first knew of their existance, dreamed of having one, and now since getting my first, then second, and very soon our third, well, Yorkies are my LIFE! |
They all look very happy to be picking up their new babies....did either of them mention joining YT? We would love to continue watching them grow...if not, maybe you could just get updated pics from them from now on...and yes, not to replace but I'm sure Toby will fill the emptiness in your house very soon!!!! Hope Casper finds a goo new home soon! |
I feel so very sad for you, sending hugs your way! Wishing your babies a wonderful life. |
I've been updated..... 1 Attachment(s) ....I work with the lady who adopted Candy (the picture above with the two kids). She says that Candy has adapted well to their household which includes 2 other dogs (not yorkies). I think she has told me that they are keeping her name as Candy. I received an email last week from Halle's new mommy; she too is adapting, enjoying her new "brother" Piccalo, and says that potty training is going well thanks to having a brother to learn from. They have re-named her Penelope (to go with Piccalo). she also said that she has pictures to share, but they are not on her computer yet. And then, just yesterday I received an email from Spook's new owner. He was a christmas gift for the daughter of the couple who picked him out. The daughter (pictured below with Spook) says that she loves him and that she couldn't have asked for a better puppy! She re-named him "Billy". We are still working on finding a home for Casper....we've had a few nibbles, but nothing definite. He is a big boy and will definitely be a "teapot" yorkie...but hey, just more yorkie to love. I am very pleased with my first experiance at breeding and look forward to doing it again.:p |
Awe Rose I just now saw this thread.... I will have to make sure to show Bre the picture of Spook.. He was her Favorite. I am Sure Casper will have a Great forever home really soon. I know He Is A real sweet heart and All of your Yorkies are Very well socialized :) |

Gorgeous pic of your baby... I am glad they have gone to a good home..:) |
...and then there were NONE 4 Attachment(s) Well, the saga of Lexie's first litter is officially over. Today we said good-bye to the last of her puppies. Casper went to live with an older couple and their adult daughter and will have two other small/medium breed dogs to play with. They live out in the country as they put it, so I guess he'll be a country boy. Here are a few pictures of Casper in his final hours with us....I am happy to say that after thinking that maybe his ears would never come up because he/they are pretty large, that the taping trick seems to be working and if his new family will keep working with them, I am now fairly certain that they will stand. :heart79: To Candy, Casper, Halle (Penelope), and Spook (Billy).... I am so thankful that you were a part of our familiy for just a little while and wish you all a long healthy, happy life! I will miss you and remember you forever! :heart79: |
Awe Rose I am so Glad that you Found a great home for Casper. The family sounds wonderful. And Casper is a Cutie.. He was so sweet when I met him. Oh and Toby looks like he had fun with Him too;) |

Oh Rose..I can't believe I missed this yesterday. Your first journey in the breeding world has come to an end...but sounds like it is a happy ending for all. I'm glad Casper found a forever home and all sound like they will be wonderful new homes. Thanks for sharing the pics of the new owners..they all seem very happy and pleased with their new additions.. Now you can focus on little Toby...the pic of he and Casper playing is soo cute...Congratulations on a very successful 1st round of breeding...you've done good! |
Lexie's puppies turned 6 months & I got pictures to share.... 4 Attachment(s) .......well of most of them. I sent out an email to their new families requesting 6 month pics & updates on Lexie's puppies. And look what I got.....:D 1. That's Candy, the first born pup. At 6 months she weighs 4.6lbs and is a happy girl in her home with two lab siblings. She lives with someone I work with. 2 & 3. That's puppy #3 and our favorite, Halle; now named Penelope. My how she has changed! These are before & after pics on her first haircut. She lives with another little yorkie sibling named Piccalo. She now weighs about 6 lbs. and is described as loving, yet the dominant one. Sounds like her mama Lexie.:p They tell me they are so glad she came into their lives. 4. This is the last pup born; Spook. He has since been renamed Billy. His new mommy is a college-age girl and he lives with her there; on campus or not, I'm not sure. He's got a yorkie friend that lives down the hall, and when she goes home for the summer, he'll have other fur-friends there too. She speaks VERY highly of him, it sounds like she loves him as much as I love all of mine. He weighs 6.9lbs & has already had his first plane ride when she met her family in Utah for a short family vacation over spring break. WOW. :( The 3rd born pup Casper is living with an older family about an hour or so away from us and I was told they do not own a computer. I will just have to trust that he is a happy country boy and hope that they will send some pictures my way soon. I love how each new family is not pestered by my picture & update requests. They have even mentioned stopping by some day so that we can meet up with Lexie's puppies again. What a happy reunion that will be.! |
What a Great Update....I love to hear Happy Endings...Thanks for sharing Joyce |
They are adorable Rose...Halle really looks good with her haircut!! I love her face! I am so glad for you that they were happy to stay in touch and give you updates...........as for me....guess I won't have to worry about hunting down anyone for updates!!! :p Sounds like Lexies pups are all living happy, healthy lives.......congrats! |
