| It sounds like separation anxiety.

| Screaming or crying when you leave Using the bathroom when you leave for even short amounts of time Destructive behavior and barking when you're not there When my Yorkie ate kibble I don't think she ate much when I would go away. She is a social eater and has separation anxiety.

Hmm well, Shadow never does any of the above things you mentioned. Other than what I previously mentioned about the food. | |

| I bought a Yorkie specific book when Bella was a puppy. They are known communal/Social eaters. They are like me. They don't like to eat alone. |

| Cooper is the same way....he will not eat if we are not home and even when we are home but not in his room with him he may only nibble a few morsels....me or my husband have to be in the room with him...doing laundry etc and then he chows down. It kinda cute...and he's definately not lacking in the weight catagory...all 8lbs 2oz of him lol |

| It could be that your baby is missing you, and feels more comfortable eating when your around.

| We feed our dog twice per day. This is what the breeder advised when we brought him home last year. He eats at breakfast time and dinner time, usually when we are home and in the kitchen eating or about to eat ourselves. You may want to try this approach. Hope this is helpful. |

| Turbo wants to eat only when I am in the area of his food, other than that, he prefers to be where I am.

| Our pups don't eat too much during the day even tho my husband is home with them all day. They seem to want to eat at the same time we eat supper. I fix them theirs and we all eat together, they all seem very happy and are not lacking in the "weight" catagory either.
