It's a Pekingese!!!! :eek: I found this little guy roaming my mom's neighborhood late last night at after 12 a.m. and I COULD NOT leave him to get hit by a car, so as usual (I've done this many, many times before) I scooped him up and put him in the car and took him home with us :) He does have a collar/tags, and there is a number, but he is sooo hyper when I pick him up LOL...that I am not able to read the number clear yet. Actually, his address is on the tag on his collar, so I think what I am going to do is just go back to my mom's neighborhood (which is literally 30 seconds from my house, it is right across the street) and go up to their door and tell them that have I MARTIN (yes his name is Martin LOL - cute!!) :p I don't know if they work or not though, so they may not be home. Martin may be spending the day with me for all I know, LOL.

Anyway, he is soooo sweet and such a loving little fella! I also took a few videos of him last night - he is such a doll!

He is too cute.

How sweet of you to take him in so nothing would happen to him while you are trying to reunite him with his family.

We use to have Pekes when I was a kid. They are great little dogs.

OMG!! Martin is ADORABLE!! You did a very nice thing taking him in,....My daughter had a peke....her name was Iris...she was hit by a fed ex truck and sadly died...she was only 1 yr old...I hope you find his home soon...he looks very sad in the second pic. I'm sure someone is missing him.

Mr. Martin is so precious and so glad that you scooped him up. I would have done the same thing and thank goodness he had his tags on with info. Are his owners looking for him? I would be frantic if I couldn't find him.:confused:

Thank you :) They are very sweet dogs - little Martin is such a lover :tinyheart I am going to miss him when he goes back home! :(

I am so sorry to hear about Iris :cry: That is so very sad :( I was so afraid that this type of thing might happen to Martin, which is exactly why I took him home with us :) I have done this many, many times....my hubby is so used to coming home and finding other dogs here LOL. :p :D In fact, I did it just a few weeks ago which I have yet to even post about (I have pictures of that cutie too LOL).

Actually, he is a VERY happy dog though. In the second picture he was actually asleep LOL...and then he heard me with the camera and opened his eyes so that's why he looks sad there I guess lol. He jumps up on my legs and licks me and is just so playful - he is as happy as can be! :D

Awww I know, he is a doll! I am so glad he has tags as the last doggy I (what do you call it??) rescued :confused: didn't have any tags on and it was much harder to track down his owners :(

I have no idea if Martin's owners are looking for him or not....I DID go up to their door last night (even though it was late) and rang the doorbell several times and knocked as well - but got no answer. There was a car in the driveway, so I have no idea :confused:

I hated to wake anyone up, but I know that if it were MY babies....I wouldn't care if someone woke me up, I'd just want my babies back! No one answered though, so I am going to try again today :)

Well, I just tried to call his owners about 10 times and every time I call it says "lines are temporarily busy" So, I am going to take him out on a leash to go potty and then I will try to call again. If I still can't get them I am going to load him up in the car and go back over to their house. Surely if it says their line is busy, SOMEONE is home and is on the phone. They are probably calling around at all the vet's offices looking for him :(

Hopefully I will be back with an update later saying that Martin has been returned home, even though I will miss the little guy!

OMG, Brooke...........:D If he they don't want him please send him my way. Oh what a cutie and besides the color he reminds me of Snooty so much. Oh how I love those smooshed in faces, LOL!! :p When I got your pm and hit that link I about fell over. I thought for a second, "no she didn't, LOL" :D He is so cute!!! Enjoy him while you have him. You know these lilttle buggers have such a goofy personalitity. :)

Well, no good news yet :(

I have continuously called his owners and can't get them :( I went to their house twice and no one answered the door :( So, Martin went with me to Subway to get lunch LOL and now we are over at my mom's house just hanging out in hopes that his owners will come home soon (I am guessing that they are at work) :confused: His owner(s) live 2 streets over from my mom, so I will keep checking back and will also keep trying to call.

He has been walked a few times already today by me, and is eating well (Canidae :D) and has lots of water which he just LOVES :D

He spilled my Diet Coke in the car, so I have got to run over to the car wash and shampoo it lol...in the meantime he will stay here with my mom ;)

Please say a little prayer that I get in touch with his family today! :hands:

HAHAHA!! I knew you would get a kick out of this one, HEHEHE! Oh girl, you should of heard me last night when I first saw him walking in the middle of the street! My hubby was driving and I was in the passenger seat and I said, "OMG!!!! IT'S A SNOOT!!!!! Thank you so much! :) I am always picking up dogs, LOL...I am just so afraid that they are going to get hit by a car :( Luckily, I have always found the owners of the babies that I have picked up - I just hope the same happens for Martin :( He is a real cutie pie!

Oh Carol, I know...I am hoping the same thing :( I really DO hope that they are worried sick and are missing him, and hopefully they are looking for him. I just wish I had a cell number for them or something :( So far I have had absolutely no luck in getting in touch with them :(

Aww thanks Nikki :) I sure hope that whenever I do get in touch with them, they just jump for joy over the fact that I have their sweet little boy here with me. I don't know how anyone could NOT want this little cutie back - he is just a total doll!!! :)
