I hate these threads too! The thought of someones baby out there, feeling scared and alone, makes me feel sick. I hope they find him soon.

I don't take Mika where I have to make stops. I did it once went into Picadilly for a togo meal, and everything went wrong. The machines broke down on the line and at check out, and what was to be a quick short stop drug on far too long for me, and the whole time I know she is out there in the car. It only takes a second to smash the window and steal her.

I was yelling at everyone in the Picadillly, so that experience taught me I just can't stand the idea of someone stealing her and selling her for 50.00 to someone.

If she's not welcome in a place, neither am I.

That is so terrible!! I hope they find Frankie!! I have never left Madeleine in the car alone and after reading this I never will!!!

I wonder too were the doors locked? That would be really bold to break into someone's car in broad daylight! I would be pretty much sick by now if that was my baby girl. I just don't understand how someone can just take someone's beloved pet like just like that...:confused: I hope Frankie is found ASAP!

I just put Lil' Miss Izzie's car seat in the car today so that she can venture out with me more often......I'm more than scared now to let her out of my site for more than a minute.....How sad this world has become.....what happened to the days that you could leave your doors unlocked and cars unlocked... ???????

I actually do just the opposite, I park where there is hardly any foot traffic that could possible see my 2 in the car. I have only done it twice now, but it still worries me. I thought about getting my windows tinted as another extra precaution, but it will probably cause me to be stopped by the police.
It is horrible that we have to be so fearful these days, but we do! I will pray for all the missing little ones and hope they get returned and the people responsible suffer a horrible death! :)

Too many bad things happening anymore and my prayer list has grown very long. I will pray for her baby's safe return.

I havent really heard anymore yet!! i know the police were called..and a report was made-and i know they are reviewing the tapes from the gas station!! Flyers are being put up..but who knows!? who knows who has him..:( and if they are planning on giving him as a gift for Christmas..or selling him?! either way..it shouldnt have happened..and this poor lady, Amber is heartbroken!! Thanks SO much everyone..i hope you will think twice about leaving ur lil one in the car or alone at all..you just never EVER know!! :confused: AND please PLEASE continue to keep Frankie in your prayers!!:( THANKS AGAIN!! xo.

i know!!!! thats what we were saying!!!!:( especially all our little furbabies..they are soooo used to being with us-(let alone spoiled:rolleyes:)then being taken by someone who has NO IDEA how to care for them!!:eek:-if they stole the lil one from their owner, why would they care enough to actually take care of the dog?!:mad: :( SO horrible!! Yeah i know what you mean.. things happen-you cant rely on anything..and its always better to be safe than sorry!!:thumbup:

MINE TOO!!;) and i am the same way.. i dont leave Avery in the car..except if i have to stop and get gas or something(but the doors are locked and i am pumping the gas right outside!!-other than that..i dont!! and this is exactly what Amber was doing with Frankie.. except she ran to get her change after pumping her gas!!!!:eek: :( it was all of 2 minutes or so..:mad:

Yeah i agree with you about having two.. its hard enough with just one!!-so thats good you do that!;) it is just sooo scary..and heartbreaking!! i dont understand how people do these things!!:confused: :(

Oh I hope they find baby Frankie my heart breaks when I see posts like this...it has to be so devastating to lose your baby like that.

I never leave Izzy in the car for any reason...for example yesterday while traveling out of state I had to stop and get gas....I had to go in and pay so Izzy went with me for those few seconds....I don't care what they say...I also keep one of her bags in the car just for those reasons where I can sneak her in for a few moments. But I know there are times when you say it won't hurt for a few moments to leave them in a car...but that's all it takes for someone to take them. Not worth the risk after reading this about poor Frankie.

Yeah i know i am interested in the tattooing also!:thumbup: and i completely agree with you.. i am the same way.. the only time i will leave Avery in the car is when i am pumping gas-and i am right outside the door..i just bring her inside with me, if i have to pay or somethin'. but like you said there are times when i have just ran in for the change, with her in the car.. doors locked of course-but thats just not enough!! -especially after this!!:mad: :(

That's what I do--smuggle Milo in. I don't do it for any other reason-- but his safety.
Just last night we were traveling from NH Coast back to NY and my son wanted to see us (he's having a bit of trouble personally), so we stopped at his work to chat and give him hugs.
He works in a Shaws grocery store in CT. It was 6PM and there was no way we were going to leave Milo alone. We snuck him in in his bag. The only time he moved was when he heard my son's voice---my son, btw, was so happy to see his little fur brother and knowing he was brought in James Bond style made him smile.
I felt so naughty. I don't regret the smile on my skin son's face though.

That's terrible!!! I really hope they can get him back.
I also keep a carrier in the car just in case. I would rather be told to leave then to have something like this happen!!!! I think I would just die if it did happen.

I see dogs tied outside while their owner gets a quick something. I always comment on how anyone can take their dog. Nowadays, I get nervous even leaving my dog at home after seeing the reports about burglars taking dogs breaking into a home. My friend has a lab (big dog mind you) who he locked in the car to do a quick errand. Someone broke in and took poor Murphy. The thief left a note saying that he wanted $1000 dollars or would chop Murphy up. Of course my friend was frantic and got the $1000 and luckily got Murphy back. He said that the Police were not much help seeing it was about a dog and he did not want to chance anything bad happending to Murphy so he paid the nasty little bastard.
Some people think that I am way over protective about my pup but I see people eyeing him when I am with him so no way would I ever leave him anywhere unattended. I would think especially with dogs so cute and little like Yorkies, it is that much more tempting and easier so we need to all beware.
I really hope Frankie is found. I can't imagine being in that position.
